Alright I did this a couple of weeks ago and I was gonna try and make it a regular thing, but I've been pretty busy.
But with no further adieu, here are the games of the week!
Western Conference:
GOTW - West Coast Llamas (#5) @ San Francisco Webzoners (#7)
After ending last season with high seeds, the Llamas and Webzoners find themselves a little lower than they'd like near mid-season. This is a key game that could very well determine playoff seeding if these teams end up close to each other on the table, which is very possible. The Llamas will have to travel up north to take on the Webzoners at home in a very hostile atmosphere. This game has a potential to be a high-scoring affair if both teams come to play.
Runner-Up: Compton Vikings (#3) @ JetNation Juggernauts (#9)
Compton comes into this game as a very hot team who have really settled into their offense. JetNation sees this as a must-win no doubt, as they would hate to see their franchise barely slip out of the playoffs. A former playoff team, and a threat to take anyone out at any time, the Juggs will come to this game ready to play. How will they match up against a dynamic Compton team?
Eastern Conference:
GOTW - Beer Town Brawlers (#1) vs. Florida State War Chant (#4)
Beer Town has started this season as strong as they did the last and haven't looked like slowing down any time soon. A very good Florida State team that has played the upset role in previous years has started the season with a bang and find themselves in the 4th seed. However, they have played only one real contender in the Pythons, which didn't end pretty. Then again, when does it end pretty when playing the Pythons? Florida State is looking to make a statement with this game, while Beer town looks to stay undefeated. I say BTB edges this game out in the end.
Runner-Up: Windycity Menace (#9) vs. Choctaw Cracker Party (#11)
Long time adversaries Windycity and the Cracker Party step onto the gridiron at Menace Field this week as WindyCity once again, look to turn their season around after a tough loss. Choctaw, which barely missed the playoffs two seasons in a row (correct me if I'm wrong), still have a very good squad though, and can play football with anybody. Look for Choctaw to put up a good fight, but Windycity to eventually pull ahead.
