It seems like fun and I want to try it out, I want to be the one who stops the sacks and just dont go around whoring for pancakes.
Since I don't really know how to build an LOT I've come here for help.
Would appreciate it alot <3

It's not an easy formula and one that a bunch of folks have disagreements over. The biggest question I'd have for you is how long are you willing to suck and do you have a team willing to put up with you sucking?

The big ingredients in building a great tackle (I don't really draw a difference between ROT and LOT since speed rushers come at both).

HIGH PRIORITY: STR/BLK
MED PRIORITY: AGI/SPD
LOW PRIORITY: VIS/STA/CONF

At level 30, I'd say you want to look something like this...
STR: 65+
BLK: 65+
AGI: 48+
SPD: 48+
STA: 35+
VIS: 30+
CONF: 30+

give or take...and then start working on your specials. How you get there and what your final build looks like is really determined by how you answered my first question.

Well the sucking for a long time part I got covered, but don't know about teams, will have to try and stay in the D-leagues or something.

Yeah, what PackMan said. Start by getting Str/Blk to the second soft-cap, then focus on the other stuff. Train speed as far as you can because you get no leveling bonus for it. Any non-primary and non-secondary attributes should be the last thing you actually spend SPs on.

I'd do something like, slow build blocking & strength up to second cap (ie train them on intense, when you have the points to get blk to 60 do it, then when you have the points for str get it to second cap). Then I'd train speed and agility until you can train agility to soft cap and probably leave speed at where it was, then switch to training vision and confidence, I'd get my stamina from low level equipment until I was ready to play for a good team unless you can get a backup role. One thing about being a backup lineman is that if there are only 3 tackles, the backup can have as many or even more plays than the starters.

just saw packmans post...I don't agree with having all that speed. I don't really see that much need for it, vision, agility, and confidence are equally important.

I wish the game kept track of sacks allowed cause this would help determine if an LOT is effective. i agree with PackMan in that:
HIGH PRIORITY: STR/BLK
MED PRIORITY: AGI/SPD
LOW PRIORITY: VIS/STA/CONF

however, my speed is lower but my vision is slightly higher than what he recommended for a lvl 30. i think stamina should be higher also because u wanna stay in the game longer and not get tired early. i added to my SA early on and i think if you are going to be a LOT you should work on SA Protector. it gives a boost to other skills

well..that's what the + is for. I was just trying to set a floor to aim at, not a ceiling.

I think a lot also depends on your final build and competition. For example, now that all the DE's are going speed, my OT needs a lot less STA since he's not blocking anyone all that strong. It's night and day when I play a strong DE. Instead of finishing at 70 energy I'm lucky to be at 50. In addition, a lot of STA needs depend on your teams rotation and depth.

I'm not a fan of putting a lot into Protector until you've at least got BLK,SPD,AGI where you want them.

Re: Lots of speed. Everyone is free to make up their own mind. Speed works for me but others might find a better use for their points. I really think when you are going against DE's with 80+ speed, you need as much as you can get.

Pardon me for hopping on this thread .Looks like great advice I have a OT I am working on I was hoping I could run it by you all .

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=859957

Now that I have reached the first soft cap on str my plan is to spend SP points to soft cap Blocking while intense training Speed/Agility .Then once blocking is at first soft cap spend sp points into agility while alternately intense training Speed/vision and Speed/Confidence .While adding to whatever tree with CE gear once I sign onto a team and am made either a ROT or LOT .

Any thoughts comments ideas greatly appreciated .
Thank you
