Zeta Game of the Week:

Singapore Flames at SBI Waves:
The Flames might sputter out again this season with a couple tough matches ahead in weeks 9 and 13, but they won't be losing in South Bend, unless herbdawg prays for and receives a miracle. Waves are better than ever, but their not at Singapore's level yet. FLAMES by 12

---------

Vietnam Villains at San Fran Gold Rush:
The Villains are way too fresh off the boat to keep up with San Fran's "Rush Hour". They end up looking like a MUNI bus ran over them. GOLD RUSH by 35

Thung Yai Tigers at the Elephant Riders:
The Tigers are too puny to hunt these kind of massive beasts, and we haven't even started talking about their Riders, yet. Thung Yai gets even its stripes flattened in a stomp-fest. ELEPHANT RIDERS by 35

Manila Envelopes at Bangkok Blue Demons:
It's 100% C.O.D. (Carnage on Delivery) as the Envelopes arrive for their season fun-filled visit of torture and pain. BLUE DEMONS by 35

Garut Fire Horses at Sault Ste Marie Metalheads:
The Metalheads set their instruments ablaze, mount the Fire Horses before they can protest, and rock on to a galloping speed into the late night hours. Buy a ticket, this show is going to Rock! METALHEADS by 20

Thailand Cheap Toys at Kapres Pride:
The boys at Kapres will have find nothing to be proud about this game. Well, besides being courageous enough to show up in the first place, that is. Cheap Toys give them a shellacking. CHEAP TOYS by 35

Midway Maulers at Kyoto Samurai:
Kyoto outlevels the Maulers, but has some CPU players. A good build is key, and I don't trust CPU's to have them. Replace those players, and this is the Samurai's win, but for now Midway Maulers crush all computer resistance. MAULERS by 9

The Pretenders at Da Nang Yellow Jackets:
Pretenders visit the hive for as much honey as they can eat. Complete and total victory tastes just as sweet. PRETENDERS by 35

Added Bonus! Singapore Flames Interview - Part 2

In your opinion, who are your top three players on Offense?

Got to be Jonny Cannonshow who last season was 71% completion , 21/6 TD/INT and 103.5 QB rating.
Evan Sizzla our WR who likes to stretch the field. This gives Suphenom(the owner) plenty of ammo for smack talk.
Supersize Larry our LG is a beast and leads a strong OL unit.

Top three players on defense?

Manny Law LOLB. Great in coverage and also on covering the outside run.
Bryan Bridenstine NT. "The general" who leads the line.
Lockdown Champ CB. Shutdown corner for the last 3 seasons.

Most overlooked/underrated player on the team?

I would go with our 2 "lwr lvl" CB's Woodson and Apodaca. Great builds for their lvls and they have come in and made plays.

Most hyped/overrated player on the team (if any)?

Celtic Raider.lives and breathes for 1) interceptions and 2)the KR/PR. he got 16 PR's today so in my book he can hype himself as much as he wants.

Have the Flames ever had any internal drama, like some of the other teams have? Anyone ever been kicked off the team? left in anger? or benched for long periods of time? If so, what are the juicy details?

Couple of players on the team from last season have subsequently been banned(King Love and Dakota Souls). We released them so maybe they went off the rails after that?
We have a good team spirit and any sign of a bad apple gets binned.

Most admired team the Flames have ever faced (could be a team from prior seasons)?

i have respect for all the owners who have been their from the beginning.
Elephant Riders, SF Rush , Demons, Metalheads. Also teams that have moved on... HK Highlanders, Bali Waves and yes even the HK Hustlers.
I know how much time it takes to run a team and respect to guys who been their that long.
Highlanders have done a great job going from AA to the Pro's so I think they just about sneak the "most admired."

Which current team in the league do you guys think is the most challenging to beat?

SF Rush.

Which team(s) strike you as most improved? who are the up and comers, that maybe you didn't worry about before but are starting to close the gap on you?

Unfortunate that XX and Destructobots owners moved on as they had closed the gap and would have been right there in the mix this season.
its tough to come into this league and compete , but I like the way Herb at SBI Waves is going about things. I expect them to make a big move next season.
Thailand Cheap Toys are also on the fringe.

Who is more retarded? the Hustlers or Voltron?

Rawr Rawr always gives us problems on the field so I have some begrudging respect there.
HKH we always beat down pretty easily (except last season). But they are a good laugh.
So I'll sit on the fence on this one(no homo) and say they are both mentally challenged.

Has the team ever been embarrassed in a game? Which performance are you least proud of?

Embarrassed
Season 3 L 0-19 vs Rush.

Felt more like 0-50

least proud
Season 3 W 30-17 vs HKH.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=45343

Up 27-3 in 4th quarter we felt sorry for them and took our foot of the gas.

Good choice for game of the week, I think that's gonna be closer than most people expect. That defense of theirs is starting to come around, and they're WORLDS ahead of what they were last year. I wouldn't be surprised if the Waves crashed the flames tomorrow.
