So basically it seems that Africa AAA will lose more than 2 teams in the offseason because I am sure there will be some teams in Pro that get bumped down.

Personally I don't want to move up if I didn't earn it, if I do I wouldn't complain but I would feel better earning it. The thing I like though is all of these slow build teams will get bumped down to the lower tiers together making it more competitive

Out of all of the possible options, I think this is the best solution. Like you, I'd rather move up to Pro by making it there through winning, but if it happens, I'm not going to bitch and moan.

It'll definitely cut down on the stats padding that happens from playing all these gutted teams though.

If you make it to the playoffs in this league, then you deserve it. And with all those guttings, it just expedites all of the teams that stick together from moving up anyway. So far, the top 8 have 5 teams that have been in this division since day one, and I think we are the lowest in the bunch, barely missing the postseason two seasons in a row. I hate waiting to see who is getting gutted just for the fluff games. I think the new plan will make it much more competitive. And maybe it will finally get the Wasps out of here 30-2 regular season now, but only like 1-2 in the playoffs? Maybe they want to earn it, but I am sure they are tired of beating up the same teams, just to not make it count in the playoffs

Its going to be a big shake up all across the board... we have atleast 4 teamas in our league who should get bumped down and another 2-3 that could potentially be flagged. Plus, I garuntee you that there are a few owners of some of the teams that just havent found a way to get over their hump that will be selling their teams back this offseason.

As you said, it sucks to have to move up like that... but I think you will be seeing a nice chunk of AAA go with you, or if you remain here alot of your AA buddies coming up.

personally i would be ok if a couple of the other AA teams moved up here, namely the Bandits and Thundercats

This is actually quite similar to the idea I proposed both on the AAA#1 owners forum and the suggestions forum, not that im claiming the idea because it was quite generic and I saw a few other people come up with variations of it. My only concern is how the flagging will work, because our league, for example, has a few teams that will probably fall in right above that mark but still should be moved down a tier. Will flagging be something that anyone can do to have a admin review the case or will it be a computer crunching numbers to create its own opinion?

I think this had to be done. I think the flagging should be based on competitiveness, NOT levels. So, if a team has lost more than 6 games by 70 points (or some degree of both of these), then they are flagged.

Whats to keep a team from tanking then to intentionally move down? Start the backups and botch the backups and im sure a Team like the Wasps or the eXtreme could be 'flagged' for having x number of 70 point losses.

Make it so that there would be no reason to want to do that, by making it impossible to pay for those higher level players in the lower level leagues. It's amazing how many problems could be solved by this.

I dont disagree with you, but that doesnt seem to be in the cards.

Flagging a team (weather a points scored flagging system, or x number of owners have to flag) is just bringing that team to Admins attention. The Admins would look at the team, and make the final decision. If a team had the proper levels of players, and was just tanking games to move down, then the Admins should see this and keep them put. All it would take is for one team to NOT move down for tanking a season, and it would stop completely.

I like the money idea too. If you are in a lower tier, then you should make quite a bit less money. That would stop a bunch that crap too.
