The Heir Apparent

Wollongong Vampires – Came out swinging. Stiffer competition next game, but still the team to beat.

Seeking Playoff Home Games

Newcastle Minotaurs – Solid opening win that was closer than the score, Could be the biggest threat to the Vampires.
Vanuatu Volcano – Pulled a squeaker out from the Endzone, but there isn’t a let up in the early part of the schedule.
SAFSrbija Endzone – Disappointing loss, with a tough team visiting in the Convicts.
Huli Warriors –Ground out another victory, it is the Huli way.

Solid Playoff Contenders

Walhalla Dingos – Well we found out that Dingos beat Demon Dawgs, look impressive, but hard to tell much from them in the first 5 games.
Chillicothe Convicts – Took care of business, next 5 games will determine a lot, if they are a serious playoff contender or pretender.
Tuvalu Matadors – Nice victory in their league debut. Next couple of games should show everyone how they stack up.
Antarctica Seals – Tough game against the Minos, much improved over last year, but how much is still undetermined.

Possible Playoff Contenders

Sydney Hammerhead – Tough loss to Huli, game against Hattrick is looming large.
Hattrick Srbija – Can’t afford to lose too many, too many mistakes in opener.
Fiji Demon Dawgs – Played like a 3 legged dog, Dingos are superior animals. Offense better grow some teeth quick.

One Year Away

UWS OUTLAWS – Nice opening win, should start a winning streak.
Cairns Fire – Lotta work to do, but not a pushover.
Las Vegas NightStalkers – Loss to UWS hurts, but there is still time to avoid relegation.
Micronesian Mutineers – Not sure if they are still trying, maybe a real mutiny.

Big Games Week 2

Matadors at the Minotaurs – Should be interesting to see how a new team competes with a league leader.

Volcano at Warriors – This one is always close. Two even teams that don’t want a let down.

Hammerhead at Srbija – Loser has a very tough road to the playoffs.

Nice write up Nats....thanks for taking the time!

As for the league....very happy it seems more balanced. Good job by all the owners in working it out.

I really think Fiji did a great job in rebuilding and seeing how Walhalla took them apart....it causes me some concern for week 6.....but....I guess we will still show up Dingos look doggone good! (sorry to say)

The Mutineers are going to have some problems this season. A lot of players asked for their release (which were granted) when it showed up that the CPU was the owner of the team. A few days later the owner was back in the ownership position and everything was already a mess. I had a DT on the team that was released one day without my knowledge and once I saw that the CPU owned the team I signed with another team. The owner came back and sent me some messages but by then it was too late. They are very very thin at just about every position on the team. The team will be beaten like they were gutted even though they weren't.

I feel bad for them but not a lot anyone can do. I look for them to be dropping to an A league team after this season if they can. It would definitely benefit them.

Your team has improved a lot over the last year, but the league has gotten tougher as well, still think the NightStalkers are headed in the right direction.
