Mongolians sell out season opener 9-21-08

The Mongolian Horde's season debut appearance in the GLB Southeast Asia AA #1 conference game against rivals the Manila Cyberballers has sold out. Strong season ticket sale have meant that not only the first game but each of the first 5 home games are sold out. When reporters spoke to Mongolian’s GM Zhrakkan in a pre game interview Zhrakkan spoke of his delight that the local football fans of Mongolia have taken the side straight to their heart. "Opening a new franchise is never easy" said Zhrakkan, "but Mongolia has been a football hotbed for years and we are glad we can finally service the locals thirst for top level football", I personally have to agree.

Grodo joins to solidify defense 9-21-08

Defensive End Byrnn Grodo, The 6ft 274 pound bruiser from Denver will step straight into the starting lineup for the Mongolian’s first game of the season against the Manila Cyberballers. Grodo entering his third season in the GLB had a very good rookie season , in the first game Grodo displayed his raw power with 2 Tackles, 1 Hurry, 1 Forced Fumble and showed the whole of GLB why he will be a force to be reckoned with for the next decade Grodo will be joined by follow Monster Jacob Browning to form a formidable DE Duo.

Lightning bobbleheads available on game day 9-23-08

Crowd favorite Jimmy Lightning will not only have fans wearing his jersey @ Mongolian Stadium tomorrow but he will have them queuing up for the hottest piece of club merchandise this year. That's right folks the man from Moscow has had his rather sizable head modelled and miniaturized for the Lightning bobblehead. Prices at only $5 these will go on sale each at the club shop from opening day. Club marketing manager Reich believes this will be the hottest piece of GLB merchandise in many years. "The fans are clamoring over each other to get one" he said "the phone in the club shop hasn’t stopped ringing since the announcement".

In other news, The Mongolians Are 23 Point Favorites to win their next game at Manilla Cyberballers. Expect the Mongolians to live up to their nick name" The Mongolian Blitz", Also expect the Mongolians to pound the ball down their throats with their massive OLINE.

In other news, Team Owner Syrk08 has asked GM Zhrakkan to investigate the missing disappearance of team funds. Syrk08 has charged Zhrakkan with reporting back to him by the end of day. Rumor has it Zhrakkan used team funds to prepare for a Tailgaiting Party for Team members the weekend of Sept. 23rd. The Sourced also tells espn "Zhrakkan might have used team funds to pay for supplies for various team members", one thing is for sure, Syrk08 will get to the bottom of this.
