THIS IS NOT A GUTTED TEAM, AND I HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF GUTTING THE TEAM.
Due to real life obligations, I will no longer be able to own the Polk High Panthers. It is a great bunch of guys used to winning, and we've got a great system in place. I have already advertised ownership of the team in our team forum as I wished to keep the transition internal, but unfortunately no one wanted to take over.
I understand this may be the wrong forum to advertise this in, seeing as how yall are competitors but the people in this league seems like a pretty solid group. Obviously, I will not be turning the team over to an agent with a significant presence in either Alpha or Zeta, but if you know someone that is interested in getting a team, then send them my way.
Here's a quick breakdown of the team:
Success: 12-4 first season, 14-2 this season, eliminated in the 2nd round of the playoffs both times
Recruitment: Other than a small handful of players that left for their own teams/friend's teams, the vast majority of the team is intact, signed to long-term deals. A lvl 28 WR signed yesterday, and a lvl 17 (5th string) CB is coming in as well; those are two of the hardest positions to recruit!
Stadium: Purchased 4 sections this offseason, so the lower bowl will be filled, and will have one 200 level corner section.
Front office: Need dedicated DC, but I am willing to be (and want to be) the OC. As for my offensive track record, we finished 4th in passing yardage and 2nd in rushing yards with the best O-line in the league, and I have a strong grasp of the offensive AI. I can also continue being the financial advisor for the team, as we should have one of the top 2 stadiums in the conference to start the year.
Team: Best offensively balanced team in the conference, and defensively we were top 4 in rushing yards allowed, passing yards allowed and points per game allowed this past season.
History: There is a running thread in the team forum with team statistical history; I update this after every game and during every offseason. Nice way to see who's come through the team and their accomplishments. I will continue to do this for the team.
As you can tell, you will not be coming into a bad situation at all. There have been no mass defections from the team, and everyone that is there now, will be on board next season. I really don't want to give up the team, but I am just too competitive for my own good, and can't put in the time anymore to run it properly.
Please PM me if you are interested, and feel free to give a heads up to anyone else if they are interested in owning a team as well. I will be thoroughly interviewing anyone interested, so this will not be done on a "first-come, first-served" basis; only serious inquiries please.
