Really hoping this is sarcasm. Your team had 1 drop. The yardage was 548 to 232. BB also turned it over 2 more times. Seems like a pretty thorough beatdown.

I’ll guess we’ll see what tight DB coverage means at Vet, but at Sophmore TE Durnik and WR Slot are doing just fine.

Perhaps it’s not the sim but the builds?

Def the Sim

All the top QBs have had completion %s drop ~5-10%... and INT numbers are higher on average than last season

I'm going heavy CIT building with my WRs and TEs this season to help counter some of the changes. Also going in big on INT on my CBs, and is been paying off... one of our guys has 6 INTs in 5 games (3 games against elite passing teams)

That's just the tier... in Vet its noticable across the board the drop in productivity. My CIT guys are way under from where they were.

yeah xars you are off base here i have to agree, across the board coverage is greatly improved leaps and bounds compared to the past few seasons. receivers are still averaging decent catch rates but CIT catch rates are way down and coverage is much tighter than it has been in a long time.

i am sure it is more due to the tier you are in as receivers can be pretty well off in soph while secondary really doesnt start catching up until later on.

def a good start for your guys though

For the most part in higher tiers right now against a good pass defense, 50% is a respectable completion percentage... 60%+ is only happening against bad defenses or CPUs

AA, who is running away with the MVP in J-Man is only at like 55% and I only run the highest comp %/YPA plays on offense (according to GLB2 Scout)

The biggest issue I have with passing is this game needs more like 70-80% completion plays, even is the YPA is only like 4 or 5. There's just not many out there.

Pretty much this. Right now half the Vet QBs are under 50%, and it gets much worse as you go down tier. By Rookie you're lucky to throw over 40%.

Ok let’s not go that far.

In Rookie, which is really old Soph, Polgara had 27 games out of 30 over 40% completion.

Also,

Completion % has never really been the analysis. It’s First Down %. You only need a 40% “completion” rate (First Down %) to have a great Offense.

So if everyone is throwing for First Downs, then the completion rate should be less than 50%.

Add in some data on the other factors, like Play Calling mix.

I’m not arguing the point. I’m asking for more data.

People were shouting for changes to the Defensive Backs and Coverages and now people are complaining about how difficult it is to complete passes....

I’m okay with the sim at the moment. Seems there are offenses that are still doing good and defense is an actual thing for once. I wouldn’t complain about scores looking like real football

We do like the changes, but it needs dialed back just a little to hit that sweet spot of perfection. Seeing possession WR's with 90+ CIT catching below 50% of their targets isn't good.

Just because people are arguing with xars statement does not mean they are unhappy with the defensive changes. Even teams with very low completion percentages seem to be happy with the changes.

The changes to coverage are a huge step in the right direction and a big improvement to the game.
