only current issue wrong with the sim is the balance changes. they were overtuned with the last adjustment, too many defensive players falling down or turning around in slow circles while offensive players sprint right by. we've tested a few PUPs with higher balance and the issues are still present even with 50-70 balance.

before xars chimes in with "50 balance is only 50% of max!" first research the fact that there are WRs and TEs running around with 20-30 balance and having no issues run blocking or staying upright after making sharp cuts at full sprint while HBs and CBs and most defensive players are falling on their face without any contact, sometimes barely after the snap of the play. justify that

Blah blah....someone sounds petty now.

The issue is turning angle and they alluded to it. So they are very aware of the issue.

CBs have a much greater turning angle then WRs. Hence they need more Balance. I'm not sure there's a legit argument against that. You don't balance the positions by making every skill equal. It's fine if WRs and TEs need less Balance than CBs and HBs because they take smaller angle turns.

You balance the positions by other methods. Ideally.

CBs need buffs or QB/WRs need nerfs.

Passing is OP, broke, pick your adjective. It's also not a new revelation.

The one thing I've noticed is how easily it appears for a Non Star QB to be dominant/successful. If I was going to do anything to the passing game it would be to the QB position. A Super Star QB should be the most important and valued position in a realistic football simulation. Regular Non Star QB's should struggle more than what I see in this game.

Honestly, buffs/nerfs would likely just paint over the symptoms. The problem is more about what happens to a player when they get "off-balance", it's simply way too much. HBs slow to a crawl and fall down untouched half the time. DBs have to turn more...yes, but even when First Step fires they barely move faster than a 5 Sprint player. I'm pretty sure this balance effect has always been in the sim, but seems the Devs amped it up way too high, Original goal was to shake up OL/DL play(definitely a good change) but it caused others parts to go off the rails a bit. Tie balance to on the field situations like we see with conditioning/morale, and problem solved.

What's all the fuss about? My nickel CB turns and runs with the WR with no problem

Zone, that CB turns early because he is going to his deep zone. Man CBs turn as the WR is blowing by them.

You are doing it wrong. One of the main reasons passing is OP is because agents don't put any balance on WRs so when they catch the ball, instead of running and getting a knock loose or fumble, they fall down while catching in triple coverage.

So again this would be something that should be fixed. Having increased balance shouldn't penalize a player to having more fumbles or passes knocked loose.

Ya he certainly runs about 10 feet behind the rest of your defense as usual.

All I know is watching pass coverage is fucking miserable right now, and it's never been great in this game to begin with. I've also had issues with our HB looking like he's running through mud or moonwalking his way to the edge. We've been pumping balance across the roster but it just feels shitty. We're going to keep trying to add balance to everyone but idk, I know people have been mentioning it, but pure pass seems like the clear way to build for now or at least leaning heavily in the air while pass coverage is borked. I don't got answers to the issues, I'll keep pumping balance hoping my dudes can turn around and stay on their feet. just my 2cents

They need to turn back balance a little (keep it important though) and make WRs need balance or fall the hell over.

yes exactly my point, a handful of people were pointing out how the morale/intim changes were inbalanced/overtuned and of course there was a handful of people to say "just add 100 toughness and heart" - but the end result? those issues noted were reviewed by admins, deemed to be not working as intended, and then fixed accordingly (fixed perfectly actually)

Yeah i hate when people do that, like it was possible, "just add 100 toughness, and balance, and heart, and the next skill that will be tweaked, but also don't lower power tackling or you will miss a lot, don't lower sprinting or your defense will get torched, don't lower conditioning or he wont play", alright give me a player level 50 and i'll do that.
