LOL, I don't even mind Pick Feast getting a 2 Int game. It's the CPU Roster looking like a team of Deion Sanders out there that was head turning.

I think Denali threw 4 ints against a mainly CPU roster too, and there are more overall Ints than Pass TDs in the early games so far.

Yeah the ints are gonna be annoying early on, but by next season they'll die down tremendously. Don't forget people on glb2 always adapt, that's how metas are discovered and formed

Not much to adapt for in terms of the passing game. It's happening pretty widely across the board despite builds.

More likely the interceptions increase as more teams carry an int corner or 2 along with a cover int lb.

Or everyone turns to fully running the ball again.

Which leads to a nerf and then we have NFL type games after 3 seasons

I actually think it'll get much worse sadly, since Int is a SP very few even invested in due to its cost. If low Int defenders can get picks so easily now, imagine how it will be with 80+ Int guys roaming around all over the place soon. That's why I brought up Tecmo Brady, his build is supposed to be adjusted for the Int changes. Even the WRs have high CiT. Denali is the same and Rob even tweeked him in the offseason. For passing which is already marginally vs the run, its a huge nerf. Kinda like making HBs fumble the ball at 3-4 times the rate they did before. The change was a good idea, but overdone

Nothing wrong with improving the ability to get Ints, but......the devs went way overboard. QBs are throwing a pick a game now, and then I get to watch my S* QB throw 5 Ints against a CPU roster. And not on long floaty passes either. http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/470885

I think this was the best change made by GLB in several seasons. I'm sick of agents creating 30 throwing power QBs who drill 30 yard passes down field in triple coverage.

Then agents need to adjust and build QBs who actually have throwing power. I love this change because it forces QBs to actually spend SPs on power, which reduces the amount they spend in other skills, which nerfs the OP passing game.

You want to hit that 30 yard pass between 2 defenders? Then strengthen up that noodle arm.

That's a good point

So far the really shifty guys seem to be having the best games. They can buff interceptions all they want, but you can't pick a guy off if you can't keep up with your man on a route. I mean unless he drops it and your CB is there to clean up....

Another thing this will do is make a S* QB viable again. Prior to this change, you could make a very good non-S* QB, by investing little in power and load up on con, acc and tech. Now to get a great QB, you will need to make a S* QB, which takes a huge hit on salary, which will then make teams have less money to load up on 9+ S*s.

This change has had a huge effect on the game all around....in a good way.

Only 4 QBs were Top 20 last season. 2 of which were Running QBs. Passing in GLB2 is marginal to begin with, and even the best QBs are in the 60% completion range and aren't as efficient as powerbacks rushing for 9-10+ yards per carry. So sure, its great if we want the few teams that actually pass to stop, but then GLB2 is nothing but rushing.

Like Laser Arm(high passing power) who threw this Int in the endzone against a CPU defender? http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/470218/78807?player_id=262729

Take a look throughout the leagues, you'll see almost as much if not more Ints than Passing TDs in all of them. If Ints were happening on long floaty passes like Bort suggested they would, then that would be fine. If the people getting Ints had to actually invest in the SP, that would be fine too. But from scrims and today's games it obvious that's not the case. The Int rate has literally jumped around 3-4 times what it was last season, which is way too much.

True. I think players who get high PDs would be more likely to be in position for Ints. So any of those types buffed out would be a nightmare.

If you don't think a superstar qb was viable you haven't really been watching the sim very well.

Being shifty is great but seems like a lot of the ints are actually defenders in the middle recognizing throws and making the play in a zone of some sort.

I've actually noticed that more players seem to be aware of the pass in the middle of the field than normal. Even in our sophomore game today defenders were dropping interceptions left and right.

Which honestly scares me to put more power into a qb because I firmly believe pass power drops the elevation of the ball making those middle interceptions more common.

DB's are noticing passes sooner than long throws, and it seems PD are coming easier. I like the change, but either we need to find the new sweet spot on QB throwing power or dial the change back a hair.

It is game 1, so I guess we'll know by midway through the season for sure.
