Almost zero teams run with an effective fb and actually run a full on gameplan. Those fb runs work pretty well in a lot of cases.

I've made a few points but the responses aren't keying in on the main point I've made several times.

It's this:

At Rookie, a Power Rusher has to overcome a Vet-level weight factor.
At Soph, a Power Rusher has to overcome a Vet-level weight factor.
At Seasoned, a Power Rusher has to overcome a Vet-level weight factor.
At Journeyman, a Power Rusher has to overcome a Vet-level weight factor.
At Pro, a Power Rusher has to overcome a Vet-level weight factor.
At Veteran, a Power Rusher has to overcome a Vet-level weight factor.

Good idea, but horrible implementation that is a ridiculous nerf to the lower tiers.

When has power rushing ever been good in sophomore? I think you are putting way too much emphasis on the weight factor when it is probably having very little impact.

Wouldn't the weight of the Rusher also play a role though??? Make power rushers fatter! In all seriousness... We do not really know how big of a role weight actually plays. Everybody is still in the early stages of figuring that bit out. Have broken tackles within tiers dropped drastically in the tiers from previous seasons? I have not researched it. Comparison is needed if we are going to judge how much of an effect the weight buff has made.

Edit: In addition, lacking sprint does not exactly help power rushing as I believe that momentum lays a role along with moving a little bit quicker when dragging defenders. May also help get off a few more of those screen passes.

This is the key. Compare previous seasons at certain tiers to this season if you really think it is making that big of a difference. Blaming recent changes is an easy way out when the real reason you can't score points is because you are purposely using poor pass plays and trying to run 55% outside with no sprinting investment.

Is Xars trolling us?

FYI:

Xars' FB build is closed but he runs a 6.01 forty yard dash.
This rookie O-lineman has the same forty time: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/261541

13 sprinting.

Am I getting punked? Where's Ashton Kutcher?

I think Xars heart is in the right place here... He is trying to highlight some of the poor plays and parts of the game in hopes that the Devs can improve some areas that are in need. It does not seem to be done in typical Xars fashion (not quite as in depth or as analytical of all areas surrounding the subject observed). The idea is a good one though IMO. Xars might just be a little off his game right now. Or maybe GE hacked his account.

FB screens suck yes. We can all agree.

But giving his FB no sprinting and force feeding him the ball seems like he is just purposely trying to fail to make a point.

Like I said, might just be off of his game. Probably began planning something in the DeeVee/Hammered mold that does not require much sprint and figured that he would just keep rolling with no sprint... I honestly have no idea but Xars typically does not jump to quick conclusions with changes and analyzes them properly and in multiple ways. Have to give Xars the benefit of the doubt!

Hammered had 64 sprinting and 70 quickness. Nobody can get away with no sprinting investment, weight changes or not.

LMAO... I get that. Maybe 30 sprint in sophomore would be to coefficient of 64 sprint. Just a rough guess... He is a minor investment away from that. 13 sprint could allow him to always take on one tackler at a time! If he has enough immediate broken tackles it could work! I know defense are all beefing up to handle power rushers. What better way to ensure yu take on one at a time AND have a far superior amount of power rushing at early player build progression?

Question:

Putting SP into Sprinting first and then Power Rushing may be optimal, but does that mean that going Power Rushing first shouldn't be even remotely viable?

Discuss.
