Most people at this point do not want to put in the time for film and that's okay because you can be a top 5 team annually in your tier with good builds and using the cheese plays.

That was actually a really good post txsteve, actually some of my most fun games have come vs the stunners and robs teams because it pushes me to truly get creative. Like I said though rob is one of the best at making meta teams but is that really all there is to his skill? For someone who's had a couple meta teams to 1 why not challenge yourself? Break the meta create a team that defies it. People who can break the meta are the scariest people. They can destroy something that is considered the blueprint to win.

PORN is nowhere near a meta team. They're one of the most balanced teams offensively in the game. Of course they take advantage of the current meta with counters but they easily have the ability to go all pass or all run depending on what works and be extremely good at it which is pretty scary. They have a QB who has a realistic shot to break completion % and passer rating records this season with a WR/TE corp that is top notch. His teams are extremely well built across the board and usually don't have many/any exploitable flaws. Points to Rob being much more than just a good "meta" coach.

Right. Show me an NFL teams winning games with a game plan centered around FB runs and flea flickers.....then we'll see the best coach!

I could've sworn Counters + Passing is the current meta. It's a phenomenal combo that appears to still be dangerous this season. Perhaps slightly less dangerous than before, but still dangerous.

there is no meta in the nfl though. each team runs it own style of offense, there is no one offense superior to others. that isnt the case with with glb its quite obvious that there is a blueprint to win.

pretty sure im saying that everyone running the same shit is boring.if stobie were to post play usage last season I'm sure will will te post, wr hook, trips post, te drive and te cross all in the top 6-7 most used plays and the running game will probably have trips counter followed by at least 2-3 other counters in the top 6. its all the same shit lately.

Here is what I came up with as far as play usage. There was a pretty big gap between these and the others. Not surprising teams that spammed these 6 plays were near impossible to slow down when they had the right roster for it.

SB TE Post: 6595
SB TE Drive: 4725
BI TE Crosses: 3849
SG WR Hook: 3350
Trips WR Posts: 2809
Trips HB counter: 2209

The meta in 2012 was fast, athletic, scrambling QB. Kaep, Cam, RG3, Wilson, Luck (he ran something like 5 times a game), and Vick. That's off the top of my head.

Anyways, the passing meta over the past few years has definitely been short quick throws and have receivers get YAC. When you see a mismatch or defensive breakdown, throw it further. It's the reason QB Rating and Completion % has been rising in the NFL for the past few years. More and more offenses are trying to build around this.

Each team can have a different look and feel due to different personnel, such as the Patriots with their multiple TE sets versus the Saints who didn't really use a TE (Graham was in the slot the entire time), but the offensive concepts behind the passing attack are starting to merge league wide.

The different look and feel comes from teams trying to disguise their intentions based on personnel groupings and formations. The end goal by those alignments are all similar though. Reliable underneath throws where the player has room to run after the catch.

It clearly says in my sig that I OC/DC that team.

But by your logic, since Game of Zones is Kasaan's team:

MEM is jfbueno's team
GA was Galithor's team
Southside was Dredgar's team

USC's team is???? None.
