I love GE.

He's one of the people that's passionate about playing the game the way it's supposed to be played. Coming up with an idea, then trying his damnedest to make it work, while shrugging off groupthink and conventional knowledge. People like GE are what made GLB Classic great back in the day.

We need more GEs.

Which is why I am playing zone defense and creating a dynamic offense with many weapons. It's more fun to play with my own builds and game plans than existing cookie cutters. Plus it will be that much more enjoyable when I take down the GLB2 Legends!

I totally agree.

Back when I used to play, I was far more entertained by making weird builds and setups to see how they fared than trying to polish the cookie cutter.

Well do something about this then!!!

Ok I know you're trying, but let's be frank: there's no way the LZ boys should spam 5 plays and be successful. And Defenses shouldn't be able to take one non-S* build (RO Blitzer) and have a speed demon wreck (some) Passsing teams.

Buff Balanced O. Expand the Defensive playbook so we can properly use the Defensie Tactics Matrix. Rob and I have posted at length about this.

And yes GE is great for the game/community. But don't just ignore the people who buy 30k FLEX at a time.

this might be the dumbest thing you've ever said

I suppose you should tell this to every sport/esport that anyone ever played. "Stop trying to win so hard guys, you're ruining the game!"

Believe it or not a lot of the top agents have already been doing out of the box thinking along the way. You can be successful while trying new things. GE isn't the only person trying new things, he is just the most vocal about it.

Xars might run some of the most popular passing plays but he also built his team with a TON of heart and built his WR's with low balance across the board.

Absolute Zero built the fastest blitzing LB anyone has ever seen and has built LB's made specifically for the lurk role. He also built an offense based specifically around the 4WR set.

The Virgin boys have emphasized speed across their entire offense.

Game of Zones built their defense around a 4-4 zone.

Salty has built their defense around 2 deep zone safeties.

Plenty of teams, even the ones that look to be following the "meta" are trying innovative things with builds and roster construction.

We should be able to build a S* CB that can absolutely shut down a Belgarion too, unfortunately coverage isnt that consistent and even when it is the receivers still make catches.

Oh, no, you're not ruining the game.

You are enjoying it a lot less than GE seems to be, though.

Umm I build players and just started working on my offense, I dont do defense. Its not like my team is built around Zeb, its only sophomore and it works.

This thread suddenly feels like the scene from The Deathly Hallows pt.2 when Harry meets Dumbledore at King's Cross train station.

It's all starting to make sense now...
