Another 2 weeks have passed.

Air Raid still #4 with 9 losses

Queen City (7 losses) and DA (3 losses) trade spots....sad when that is about the most exciting ladder development.

RIF still #9 after 10 losses and likely 12 CPU wins

Richmond has worked their way from 16 to 11 behind a 17-6 records

Gatling Valley has dropped 2 spots on a 8-14 record

DD2.0 has dropped 2 spots behind 2-20 record.

How much is the incredibly slow moving ladder contributing to the apparent waning interest in vet ladder...and vet play in general? Sound off below.

OK...I admit it, guys saying the K value change was not enough were right...

At least for higher tiers. In lower tiers you could feel the difference pretty good. I think that might be the biggest problem with doubling/trippling the K value.

I say reset it every season

I was pretty excited because I thought we were going to see a difference, but its not enough at the top of the ladder.

I wasnt excited but worried. But yeah, the outcome is the same. Not much of a change here

However we fix it, let's wait until the offseason. I'd selfishly like for Air Raid to finish with a top 5 ladder trophy again

Don't blame you and I don't think there is any risk of anyone over taking you, QC would be the team that possibly could but they are in a pretty big slide themselves.

There's also a lack of movement in Pro relative to the Vet teams. GA should be able to move up more in Pro, setting the stage for a move to the top of Vet next season. That's another problem.

all things are solved by a complete reset to even values every season.

I get that means we eat a few crappy matchups early in the season, but it's worth it to get the ladder active again IMO.

This is what I want to see.

Yep...Radicals have beat every pro opponent we have faced this season (again, besides damn GA), including two currently ahead of us on the ladder, and even beat our last two Vet opponents (One who was ranked 20 a the time we faced them) - Yet sit at number 5 on the Pro ladder...

How do you separate Seasoned and Vet? Start both at the same ELO value?

Set each tier at different starting elo every offseason. Whether it should be close enough for a lower tier to catch and pass higher tier teams that consistently lose, I don't really care one way or the other.

simple version:

Vet - 2000
Pro - 1900
Jour- 1800
Seas- 1700
Soph- 1600
Rook- 1500

Or closer. Or wider. Whatever.

Vet @ 1200
Pro @ 1000
Journeyman @ 800
etc

Change games to schedule opponents within 100 ELO points of each other instead of rank, this gives you plenty of inter tier match-ups which people have been asking for and more movement in the ladder that others want.

Wouldn't that screw a team like Ground assault?

Without knowing ELO#s..it makes it tough.

How about #1 overall team is reset to 1200
#2 season ending team is reset to 1199
#3 1198
etc.

Like pushing a stack of books together - reducing the gaps considerably --- and then starting fresh (previous seasons don't matter).

Unless there's some ELO changes, HBurg already has a solid chance of being #1 team after next season (probably at least 6 wins ahead of MMA), as Air Raid and Minn are gone after this season
