Yeah, because if you stack the box I'm going to throw it to Barry 2.0. If you don't fear the outside rush, you still need to be able to stop the pass and fear my beast-mode backs.

Yea, but a lot of these 2nd & 3rd season teams decided to build a team that could only do 1 thing and now they are paying the price. Not a lot of teams that can both pass and run effectively.

This the change in a nut shell. Watch this play and look at the 74 tick. This should be an EASY TD...but no. The HB has 2 blockers in from of him, a FB and TE, and a FS is the only guy between him and endzone. The TE, who is probably the BEST run blocking TE in GLB2, runs right by the FS and FB gives a love tap to him, and the FS makes the play.

Please revert the changes and figure out another way to nerf goalline QB runs other than completely ruining the running game...

LOL @ the BEST run block TE in GLB2.

Not really - pretty sure the top 5 can do both just fine, they just focus more on one thing over the other... Just like any other team that was created season 1.

I do think this was a huge buff for break block and pursuit

what sort of awareness are you running on your G/OT/FBs/TEs on Hawaii? I mean, are we complaining that 40 isn't getting it done, or are ya'll rolling with 60+ and not getting it done consistently in the new sim?

Haven't really watched Hawaii in this new sim - but I'll let you know.

And no greater than that.

No, he's got M2M on the FB. The FB starts running away from him, so he turns to sprint. The strong side OLB scrapes until the backs get to him. The backside OLB turns to start sprinting much sooner, so is at top speed by the time closing speed kicks in.

previously that backside LB would just mash up into the LOS absurdely. The current behavior is much more realistic. That LOLB is a full .4 sec faster 40 time than the HB in question, and is at 100 energy to start the play, compared to the HB's 50 energy.

Add in closing speed and the innate speed advantages, and there's a good reason that LOLB looks good, and the HB looks slow on that play.

Give me a freaking break. That LB got to the other side of the field in about half a second...

Yeah. I'm kinda leaning towards this new sim just requiring some build tweaks for offenses to adjust. Stuff that got ignored in the past matters a bit more now. Those magnet blocks that now are missed glance blocks are likely big footwork mismatches or something similar. I know my blocking FB and TE don't have a big footwork investment today.

You can choose to ignore the build and energy difference if you want.

Kinda surprised Middle Overload still has the OLB's blitzing outside instead of crashing in. Seems like that was a no brainer fix 2 seasons ago.

I agree with this...however I don't agree with weakening the WR blocking skills. All they needed to do was exactly what you mentioned and the goalline QB rollout would have been fixed. All this other "run block nerfing" was unnecessary and really hurts outside running teams who run "normal" plays.

I don't think so.

- Defenses should react better to certain outside rushes

Nothing we can change to stop this.

- Slightly lowered baseline blocking levels

Just a nerf, can't really do anything besides spend more points and hope you can get back to the level you were at.

- Made blocks in open field more difficult to maintain

Only thing I can see being build related, but I doubt much
