I don't really understand all the worry about tactics that dominate the GLB2 equivalent of PeeWee/high school football (rookie, some soph) - in seasoned there are currently no QB sweep teams in the top 10 and as one gets towards the mature game I strongly suspect there won't be seeing one trick offenses or defenses being able to be effective.

It cost LL dearly in the game with Atlantic City. We're fixing, and I might suggest you do as well.

Darkside, on the other hand, has a chaos offense that will likely never have that problem.

That may be true, but there aren't any teams in seasoned or journeyman built specifically to exploit this fully. In fact, none of the rookie teams or sophomore teams I've seen are built to fully exploit it yet either. Some are very close.

Does this mean LL is giving up on the full air attack?

I thought it was mostly play selection vs Middle Overload that cost ya'll. Not enough plays with WR3 as first or second look on out/flag/streak patterns. Too many inside routes from WR3 where the LB was allowed to be a factor.

I have faith that we'll crack the top 10 soon enough.

Ya'll aren't even really built to exploit it to the max. Look at Yorick's offensive roster construction. That's much closer to maximum exploitation capability. Even then, I think they've got 2 WR too many, and 2 OT too few.

It's like what I did with Air Raid in original roster construction. I did 8 WRs because in the original coverage scheme, we were going to obliterate teams with 5 WR plays, and they couldn't do anything about the fact their limited 5-6 CB rosters were going to get sapped of all their energy and morale.

Then Corndog came up with the Heuristic coverage and it let teams play defenses other than quarter against the idea. So the CBs were saved. Now I'd trade 5 of my regular WRs for 2 S* WRs instead to combat the newly tweaked Heuristic coverage. Air Raid 2.0 will be better than Air Raid.

To do the Run Heavy team, you go all out. Big I and Goalline only. 5 OTs, 3TEs, 2 FBs. Screw WRs. Play FBs and TEs at WR. Maybe even FB/TE at HB in goalline for extra pancakes on the QB rollout. You'd have gold pancake chef at every spot on the field except the ball carrier. Not to mention, the nastiest kick-off and punt return team in GLB2.

THAT would be exploiting the quirks in the running game.

I wouldn't let me have any more TE's or FB's

And really, the only time I'd need more OT's is when the rollout actually works and forces the poor guys to run. Otherwise, stamina holds up fine.

But I really wish I could dump that last non-KR WR...

That team would suck. Without balance anyone can stop a run team with the right defense.

Pancake chef is for stat-whores. Teams in the know are running Get Low.

As to being a "pure" rushing team... I don't think that is ideal.

You can make your blockers have triple the run skills than the passing skills, but your QB can still heave the ball in the current sim.
