I have truly never understood the huge stir over forum moderation. People care way too much about their ability to troll its kinda sad really.

Trolling never really got anyone banned.

Flaming and being a general asshat, yeah, but not really trolling.

Yeah... I've had a warning once. But I've always been a rules guy, so testing forum moderation for the sake of it isn't something that I would be a part of.

17-14 is a pretty low scoring game.

That YPC, though.

I have looked at this issue extensively today in order to see where the problem lies, from a football standpoint. I am certain I have it figured out.

In football, players attempt to turn plays back inside where help is/things are more clogged up. In GLB2, players all crash down inside, allowing the play to go outside for huge yardage.

I don't know coding, but the football solution is simple. Designate someone on each play who has "outside contain" as a responsibility. Make it awareness based in some way, so as to reward teams who build better players. But make it happen.

Depending on philosophy, this can be the DE, the OLB, or the CB.

Or...a free superstar tied to the team.

If the team folds or you get fired, you lose the player.

Having given this some thought I think it actually would be a pretty good incentive for mentorship. It is a flex reward of its own type as for me straight flex wouldn't really be an incentive with six figures of lex in the bank but this and the enjoyment of formally mentoring a team would probably do it.

I would limit the position's selectable for the mentor SuperStar to everything, except QB, HB. Those positions should really stay earned.

Allow the mentor to sign up to do so in a forum similar to the market place list their team qualifications.

I'd use an auto-emailer to help teams get directed to that forum. When they sign up for a team , if they've spent less than 100 days on GLB2 , send the auto-email telling them where to go for a mentor.

I also think a player FAQ would still do you wonders as well as keeping a separate SuperStar bar for referrals would provide people an incentive to recruit new players to the game.

If you want to increase recruiting, I'd work on giving more praise and recognition to guys who do recruit new players into GLB2. You've got some people on this game with more time than money. Maybe "recruiter of the Season", who ever has the most qualified recruited guys active during that season gets an atta boy from Bort in his "Season X is under way" announcement, along with a second free player (lost when retired). I think that would be enough incentive for people to hit the trail, particularly people with good advertising skills.

Your suspension notes only show one, and it says it was for spamming.

On outside runs, especially goalline, I really do want the LB's and safeties to play smarter. Have them make Pursuit rolls that keep them moving down the line rather than into the scrum.

so important
it would help make stretch plays and pitches work more like they do in real life where they arent ALWAYS pure sideline runs but are reliant on a defensive player making a bad decision and then cutting at the right time

I think the actual problem with this goal line stuff is we lack one of the most prolific defensive formations in terms of run defense, the 46 bear http://www.xsosfootball.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/46bear_thumb.jpg. Despite us unlikely to get it I at least wanted to point out that there was a perfect formation for this that would target the specific problem, avoiding any uneccessary casualties to the outside run game

I'd be curious.

If I went to every rookie league forum (all 8) and posted:

"Any rookie teams looking for help with their team? I've owned a team here since season 1 and would love to answer any questions or give you any tips. send me a PM to discuss"

How many responses would I get? (I'm not sure I'd even get one but I'm wrong a lot)

Update - 18 hours later or so, I have had 3 genuine questions:
a: how do I stop the QB roll out (ironically)

b: why can't my rookie team complete passes

c: when will my slow built team overtake regular teams in skills

I've also gotten (as expected) 3 or 4 times that in negative comments and ridicule

So - not as many questions as I would have expected - but it was an off day

Middle Overload.

Because you didn't spend 5000 flex on gold ammunition for your QB
