It would show secrets about the game that Bort knows in a public way that people would just leach off of to make their success. That is what happens in this game. You ask why my teams are successful? It is because I find the most successful plays and use them the most. If I can equate a build to that perfect. All those teams on the top of GLB2 right now? They are doing the same thing. Every successful team in GLB1 that has won WL over the last 30 seasons? Same thing.

Do you have inside knowledge? Are the plays you run hidden from public view?

See the difference?

There's also the aspect where it kind of needs to be tiered.

If it is only pro-tier, then a huge chunk of the game misses out. If there is one for every tier, I need to write code to handle that and then make similar teams for every tier...and that seems like a lot of time for a pet project.

Eh I don't think you would have to work through all the tiers in GLB1. At some point they will all get their crack at it. You only have to hit the main ones.

PeeWee
Pro
Casual

And you wouldn't have to do those all in one season either. Maybe each season hit up a different tier? If anything people would be interested just to watch games where people attempt to beat you. Which is why the point of being Stronk is the fun part of it.

GLB2 I think it would be a bit easier to tier it but may also be a bit easier at this point to defeat it.

GLB1 is in the past, man! Why not have him waste time making new levels for Q-Bert?

Just because they are tiered doesn't mean they would be exactly the same as current players or anything.

Like, a Valentines Day team would undoubtedly have 100 heart across the board for everyone at every tier because reasons. But everything else would be normal or slightly above normal.

The point is still escaping you. GLB is follow the leader when it comes to success. Why do you want to see DD's builds? Because they are having success. You may call it "learning" from his builds but realistically when it comes to GLB it is more about oh I see DD is using a ton of pass rush technique and footwork to articulate Spin. I am now going to respec my player to have that same success.

Honestly, I'd probably even want to go out and make plays for them that aren't part of the normal playbook options. I like doing weird weird stuff.

I get that, but it would be easier to create those tiers for GLB2. Personally I want a boss like structure in both games. Something that revolves around a team theme.

Everything is follow the leader. So what? If the game is good, there is plenty of room for people to build in a variety of ways.

If everyone starts building DE's like DD, then people will have to build OT's to counter. Then those OT's will be exposed by a different kind of build. That is how it should work. It is how the NFL works. Again, that is assuming the game is good. It is is bad, one build wins all the time.

But could you code a heart shaped route for the WRs to run? Or maybe a defensive set up with 1 DT, flanked by three DEs lined up slightly behind, linebackers stacked up in a row going back to where the safeties flank out to the sides?

Arrow defense for the win.

This is the kind of thinking that I really don't understand. "It has to be either GLB1 or GLB2!". I play both games and like them both for various reasons. Why can't fun be had on both?

Time. They are a small business and DB doing something for fun sounds like a neat idea, but probably not practical to make a career of doing new stuff for the old game.

I guess we will agree to disagree on that being "how it should work".

Was thinking a formation with an extra player, blitzing, called "Heartstopper" lol
