- Increased tackle grip strength a little to put a little more emphasis on breaking the initial tackle instead of dragging somebody 10 yards
- Added some new offense plays to help fill out the more lacking playbooks a bit more (especially diamond):

- Decreased the plays required to gain knowledge
- Greatly increased effectiveness of CPU builds, making use of boost SP/AP and more focused point spending (script will run through night to recalculate the builds)

- Added three new traits. All of them are a bit more out of the box compared to the other trait types:
Scholar: This player has a gifted mind for the game. Gain play knowledge at twice the normal rate.
Adept: This player picks up abilities faster than his rivals. Start with 2 extra Signature Ability points. Min Salary: +10%
Natural: This player was born for the game. All skills start with twice the normal SP value applied. Min Salary: +12%

- Career boosts have been changed to Cap Boosts. They still give the same career boost in games, but you also now get a cap booster, to give them more value to more types of players, and reinforce their optional nature. Existing players who bought career boosts have been retroactively given cap boosters.
- CPUs are no longer affected by chemistry in-game. This should help CPUs perform a bit better at all stages of the season.

- Defense play distance and play type can now be customized after being added to the playbook. This should allow coordinators to have an easier time using the plays they want. To do this, just add a play to your playbook, and then click on the distance/type yellow buttons to cycle through the options. A play can have different settings in each playbook section. If you remove a play and re-add it, it will revert to its default settings.

A few notes, because although I think this is fairly common knowledge, I know questions have come up in the past:

- When tactics calls for inside or outside run D, play distance doesn't matter. Distance only applies to passing plays.
Example scenario: Your tactics calls for 100% inside run defense on first down. You only have a medium inside run play and a short inside run play in the playbook. Both plays have an equal chance to be called on first down.

- Short "pass/run" plays are higher priority than medium or long "pass/run" plays when tactics calls for inside or outside run D.
Example scenario: Your tactics calls for 100% inside run defense on first down. You only have a medium "pass/run" play and a short "pass/run" play in the playbook. The short "pass/run" play will always be called on first down.

- "Inside run" plays are higher priority than "pass/run" plays when tactics call for inside run D. Same applies for outside run.
Example scenario: Your tactics calls for 100% inside run defense on first down. You only have a short "pass/run" play and a medium "inside run" play in the playbook. The "inside run" play will always be called on first down.

- "Pass/run" plays have equal priority with "pass" plays when a tactics calls for a pass D.
Example scenario: Your tactics calls for 100% short pass defense on first down. You only have a short "pass" play and a short "pass/run" play in the playbook. Both plays have an equal chance to be called on first down.

- If you don't have a pass play with a distance matching the tactics call, a pass or pass/run play will be selected, ignoring distance.
Example scenario: Your tactics calls for 100% short pass defense on first down. You only have a medium "pass" play and a long "pass/run" play in the playbook. Both plays have an equal chance to be called on first down.

- Zone and blitz tactics have the lowest priority, if a suitable play matching all criteria doesn't exist in the playbook. A play with the selected play type and distance will be selected first.
Example scenario: Your tactics calls for 100% short pass defense and 100% blitz on first down. You only have a short "pass" non-blitz play and a long "pass" blitz play in the playbook. The short "pass" non-blitz play will always be called on first down.

- These all apply only for the section of the playbook that corresponds to the offense formation. For example, if the offense formation has 2 receivers, only the plays in the "2 receiver D" section of your playbook will be considered when choosing a play.

- Fixed Adept not refunding ability points properly. A script should be running shortly that will refund missing points. Due to caching issues, the respec screen may show negative returns, but should still function properly. Additionally, all players affected will have their respecs reset.

- Adjusted Shotgun 5WR formation's QB to stand further back, so he has more room to operate, roll out, and get a pass away (about 7yds)
- Changed QB dropback limits to allow more freedom to drop back further on screen plays, to help avoid too many sacks
- Pass rush pressure now has much less effect on screen play pass quality, since the whole point of the play is to have the defense in your QB's face
- Added a new formation with some new plays: Shotgun Trips Wk. This is a 4WR, 1HB formation with 3 receivers stacked on the weak side. QB stands a bit further back similar to 5WR change.

- Receivers will no longer attempt to dive to catch errant passes behind the line of scrimmage, since it's better to just let it go incomplete than lose yards
- Ball carriers dragging a tackler will now use a little bit more energy than before, based on the weight of the tackler (heavier tacklers drain more energy)

- Reduced the cost of Intercepting skill (a script is running that will refund the appropriate amount of SP for everyone)
- Added an exponential bonus to the chance of intercepting a pass based on how long the defender has been aware of it in the air. This makes long floaty passes far easier to intercept than short fast passes, assuming defender awareness allows them to see it early enough, and they can pass the base interception skill check.
- Next season, we will be updating all leagues to use the current Veteran salary cap and all players salaries will be the same as the current lv 25 veteran level. This should help with rising cap confusion and any salary min-maxing shenanigans. Salary cap overages will not be enforced right away, but team owners will need to make sure to deal with any issues by the end of next season. Everyone will be updated to the new salary values tonight at rollover.

- Salary cap restrictions are now ignored during offseason for contract renegotiations (not new signings) so you can more easily reorganize rosters. Any teams over the salary cap at the beginning of the new season will have their contracts automatically lowered or players cut, so make sure to get yourself under the cap by then!
- Added colors to roster page salary values to more easily pick out players on low/high contracts

- Players will now lose a little more energy when playing in consecutive plays (with more of an effect the more plays in a row they play). Taking a play off will give them a chance to recover. This should help encourage a bit more depth in rosters.

- Filled in some "missing" gaps for running plays in some formations. The new plays are:

Updated and added a bunch of options for team field settings:
- More fonts
- Upper/lower case options for displayed text
- Your endzone doesn't have to have a color (let the field color just show through)
- Text can now be black or white as well as the normal color selections
- Added the option to enable a midfield crest on your field, with various settings

Added a smattering of new plays for O and D:

General Sim Changes
- Blocking tech now has diminishing returns for each consecutive roll won
- Greatly increased balance losses in pass blocking interactions
- Increased push vectors created from Pash Rush Power
- Adjusted balance loss to have more of an effect on movement
- Intimidation and Toughness rolls adjusted to be more consistent with their cost
- Intimidation now causes nearby opponents to slowly lose morale
- Pursuit angles and avoidance vectors tweaked/improved
- Added a new player tactic, Pursuit Style: affects the angles a defender will try to take when chasing down for a tackle

Play Action
- Added logic for Play Action passes. I have only added 2 new plays for now so we can test it out, but will expand on them soon assuming there are no major issues:

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/images/tactics/offense_plays/528.gif Singleback PA Double Post
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/images/tactics/offense_plays/529.gif I Form PA Gut Shot

- Defenders may briefly "bite" on play action fakes, pulling them out of position or making them hesitate on coverage. Defenders in deep zones are less likely to bite, so leaving everyone on an island vs Play Action may be a bad idea.
- The quality of a play action fake is determined by a combination of rolls based on the QB's Leadership skill and the HB's Carry Awareness. Defenders resist the fake using Pursuit skill rolls.
- Play action fakes also become more effective the more a team has run inside recently, and less effective the more they have passed.
- Play action plays take a bit longer for the QB to get into his dropback motion, and involve some faked run blocking, so the QB could find himself under more pressure if nobody is fooled!

- Fixed a bug with play action passes where the HB could be held back by the QB to pass block due to blitzes, and it would break the play

- Added a few more play action plays as previously mentioned:

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/images/tactics/offense_plays/530.gif Singleback Big PA Flood Weak
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/images/tactics/offense_plays/531.gif Shotgun PA Boot Strong Flood
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/images/tactics/offense_plays/532.gif Strong I PA Waggle Flat
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/images/tactics/offense_plays/533.gif Strong I PA Scissors

The 2 bootleg style plays will tend to end up in a lot of scrambles for QB's set to scramble often, since they roll out of the box, so keep that in mind if you use these plays!

Also, I've got a few more in mind, but I don't know if I will get to them before Christmas time or not.
