YPC is a flawed way to look at it, since teams with a potent passing attack won't have defenses loading up against the run. If you look at rushing attempts per game, the final four teams were 2nd (Guyana), 7th (HHWC), 9th (Odessa), and 12th (Blaze) among the returning teams. So I really don't think it's accurate to say that any of the final four besides Guyana got there with a rushing offense.

Another way to look at it would be run/pass ratio.
Counting only the first 13 minutes of each quarter...
Guyana: 581 runs, 354 passes (62% run)
HHWC: 453 runs, 340 passes (57% run)
Odessa: 492 runs, 448 passes (52% run)
Chocolate: 337 runs, 461 passes (45% run)
I think it would be fair to say HHWC and Odessa were rushing offenses.

really? 7 or 9 of 32 teams isn't fair to call a rushing first team?
okay JD

I disagree on the grounds that the top 4 ypc teams were the last 4 playing..
When you look at some of the numbers its apparent at least in the blazes case(my qb can confirm) that we were a rush 1st team...
Led the wl in broken tackles http://goallineblitz.com/game/stats.pl?season=24&league_id=280&conference_id=0&stat=rushing&sort=broken_tackles&playoffs=0&stat_type=raw
Total rushing yards
all of the final 4 teams were within the top 7 in this category as well
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team_stats.pl?league_id=280&conference_id=0&stat=rushing&sort=rushing_yards&playoffs=0
I Wouldn't give any sort of credit to a team who mindlessly runs a back into the los and call them a rushing team because of their attempts, but would do so based on the their production.

By that logic, you had 2 of the top 4 yards per attempt passers so I guess that makes you a pass-first team.
Having more broken tackles is not the same as having more production. Elusive backs are going to have more yards per carry and fewer broken tackles compared to power backs, in general. Kill had 264 carries to just 57 for Gravity and 123 for Oscar. So of course that is going to result in a high team broken tackles total. Broken tackles are a means to an end, they are not evidence of production in and of themselves.

somalia had the most punts, and punt yards. they were definately a punt first team.

Notice how I said "among the returning teams"? How many teams returned, genius?

Well yeah the teams who are winning are the ones typically running the ball most of the 4th quarter. Losing teams are airing it out and taking sacks

Who gives a shit if returning or not, still were 16 additional teams here last season so they're all still in the upper portion of the league compared to the other teams they were competing against.
