I hope the next top 10 doesn't include us after the spanking from the Hogs.

you know you hit rock bottom when even the bottom feeders look at your team as the slump buster.

the bright side is we now thoroughly understand how important chemistry is.

we need to have a free protective cup giveaway this game because we are going to get kicked there a lot.

I dare CWE to go to an all kneel down offense and see if they can still beat us. i triple dog dare them.

wait, they likely could.

Well, our d did score 28 points. So yea.

I'm sensing a pattern in your write ups, E.

WEEK 5 - LION
1 Fulham Flying Hellfish (5-0) - Another week, another dominating win. The next few weeks will be tough for Fulham but if they get through unscathed they'll be the frontrunners for the #1 seed. After the CWE game Fulham can hear the Horns blaring behind them waiting for Fulham to slip up though.

2 Massawa Redhorns (5-0) - The Redhorns jumped out to a huge lead in the first half behind some strong running and the stellar play of WR "Jaws" as he posted 2 huge TD receptions to help put the Redhorns up by 25 going into the second half. Things almost fell apart in the 3rd Q as CWE made it a 1 point game but the Redhorns were able to hold on to the win even though they lost the turnover battle.

3 Cagliari Outbreak (4-1) - Cagliari took it to the Demons this week and came away with a hugely impressive win after a slow first quarter. They put up 43 points in the 2nd & 3rd Qs compared to 7 for SF. Then the 4th Q became a shootout as both teams combined for 62 points. By then it was too late for the Demons to gain any ground though.

4 Carthaginian War Elephants (4-1) - The Elephants took a hard loss against Massawa as they fell behind 10-35 in the first half. Things got reversed in the second half as CWE put up 24 points in the 3rd Q to make it a 34-35 game but they couldn't capitalize on that huge comeback as Massawa went on to outscore them 13-3 through the rest of the game to take home an 11 point win.

5 Franchise (4-1) - Franchise has been feasting on teams the last 3 weeks but that all ends this week as they face the newly minted #1 ranked team from Fulham. This will be a good chance for Franchise to start making a run at a top seed in the playoffs.

6 Wallachia Wamphyri (4-1) - Wallachia was looking at a 3 point deficit going into the second half but then they blew up and outscored Kenya 58-24 to get the win.

7 San Francisco Demons (3-2) - The Demons fell behind big in the first 3 Qs and just couldn't overcome the deficit. The run game was ineffective and their defense got shredded.

8 Kenya Diggits (1-4) - Looking at Kenya's stats one can think that they must be one of the most dynamic passing games to watch but that still isn't getting them any wins. They had a 1 point lead in this last game before everything fell apart.

9 IRONTON TANKS (1-4) - The Tanks are having a hard time getting through this tough stretch of games and it's hard to see a change coming next week against the Demons.

10 Sahara Storm (2-3) - Sahara gets win #2 in dominating fashion but the earlier loss to Ironton prevents them from moving up in the standings.

11 LHC Naked Turtles (2-3) - LHC hands Sterling a beatdown to gain a measure of revenge over their playoff loss last season.

12 West Yorkshire Bandits (2-3) - The Bandits could not find a way to get the ball in the endzone in a hard fought game that saw them lose by 3 points after mounting a comeback that saw them post the games final 8 points.

13 Sterling Bulldawgs (1-4) - Sterling seemed to have come a long way since that narrow week 1 loss showed improvement from their performance last season. The last few weeks have been anything but kind to the Bulldawgs though.

14 Sun City Undertakers (1-4) - Another rough loss for the Undertakers. After the way LHC dismantled Sterling it's hard to see Sun City pulling out their second win next week.

15 Uganda Silverbacks (1-4) - Uganda is struggling to be competitive right now like a lot of these 1 win teams. Unfortunately, like a lot of those 1 win teams, the schedules don't seem to have much breathing room in them.

16 Zambezi Silverbacks (1-4) - Nice win for Zambezi as they held off the Bandits late game surge. Can they get win #2 next week against Sterling to start moving up the rankings? They'll also face Sun City afterwards so we could be looking at a 3 game win streak if the Silverbacks play their cards right.

WEEK 5 - ELEPHANT
1 Nairobi Warthogs (5-0) - Nairobi has given up 38 points through 5 games. Their clearly at the top of the mountain right now.

2 Sons of Anubis (5-0) - While the Sons haven't been as defensively dominating as Nairobi, their offense has more than made up for it racking up close to 400 points through 5 games.

3 The Dead Presidents (4-1) - A week after being manhandled by Nairobi we got to see TDP return to their own dominating ways. Can they keep up the pace for the next few weeks?

4 Windhoek White Rhinos (3-2) - The Rhinos have proven their toughness this season with a close loss to SoA. They bounced back big time as they crushed the Tigers.

5 Zimbabwe Rebels (3-2) - Easy win for the Rebels. A loss to TDP next week could start putting their season in jeopardy and will definitely affect their rankings as they have not beaten a team with a winning record yet.

6 Black Sea Sunami (2-3) - Every loss for BSS has come at the hand of a top ranked team. Their entire schedule seems to flip flop every week this season between top team and lower ranked team so they could spend the whole season battling to stay at .500.

7 Angola Blood Diamonds (3-2) - A nice 28-14 lead in the first half was just enough to keep ABD in the lead for the game.

8 Guyana Generalissimo's (3-2) - So far Guyana has beaten who they should have beaten. They need to beat a playoff worthy team if they want to make any noise this season though.

9 The African Predators (3-2) - A solid effort against a struggling team to get the win. Effort won't get them anywhere next week against Nairobi though and with ICB & Zimbabwe afterwards they'll have to play their best ball to avoid taking a deep fall in the rankings.

10 Ivory Coast Breakers (3-2) - ICB is good, there's no doubt about that. But can they be great this season with so many tough teams still to come. The next few weeks aren't too bad but the second half of the season will definitely be a lot worse than the first half.

11 The Black Hand (2-3) - TBH continues to impress as they demolished Kickin. With WWR, BSS and SoA on tap for the next 3 weeks The Hand will have plenty of opportunities to show if they're really a great team that struggled with a horrible opening schedule (Fulham & Nairobi back to back is just bad).

12 Kickin Djibouti (1-4) - Another rough outing this week but with Darfur up next they have a chance to get a win. A loss would drop them in the rankings but with little hopes at the playoffs does it really matter at this point.

13 Wrightstown Tigers (0-5) - Wrightstown has pretty much been written off at this point. It's hard to see them doing any better than 3-13, 4-12 this season.

14 Ron's Texans (1-4) - The Texans lost to the #1 ranked Ele team. Did we expect any less?

15 MaRAWK!!o Evil Aces (1-4) - The Aces can't seem to put things together for 60 minutes. They have outbursts for a quarter here and there that show promise but until they can be consistent they won't pick up any wins against good teams.

16 Darfur Depopulators (0-5) - Darfur is still seeking win #1. They have a shot this week and if they can't pull it off they are probably looking at a 0-9 start to the season before their next opportunity at a win.

Short on time so these will be brief.

Week 6 Predictions
Lion

Fulham vs Franchise
Can't pick against #1 team right now but Franchise has the talent to win this game. Should be a great one.

San Fran vs Ironton
The Demons need to show they can be contenders. A win here would help move that cause along.

Sun City vs LHC
Have the Turtles come out of their shell?

Uganda vs Kenya
This could be Kenya's biggest offensive showcase or largest flop. Only time will tell.

Sterling vs Zambezi
I just can't pick against my own boys. Sorry Zambezi. Either way this game should be interesting to say the least with both franchises struggling.

Wallachia vs Cagliari
I sense an Outbreak of scoring this week.

CWE vs Sahara
CWE has fallen but these beasts won't down long.

WYB vs Massawa
Massawa made a huge statement last week. Can the Bandits make one this week?

Elephant
BSS vs Wrightstown
Anyone who thinks the Tigers will win this one, I'm calling BS right now.

ABD vs SoA
Sons should take this one early.

Nairobi vs TAP
Another easy one for the Warthogs.

WWR vs TBH
Tough match-up for both teams. WWR has been more consistent while TBH has just started coming into their own this season. I'm giving WWR the edge.

MEA vs Guyana
Guyana should be able to take this one easily.

Kickin vs Darfur
Both teams are struggling but I'll go with Kickin.

ICB vs Ron's
The Texans struggles this season are too large to overlook.

Zimbabwe vs TDP
TDP has dominated everyone not named Nairobi this season and should continue that this week.
