Great game, Crimea! Sorry about the streak breaking.

OK, not all that sorry.

In fairness, I have no idea how I'm going to beat you twice in one season. I knew if I couldn't get you at home, there was no way I was going to get you on the road. Of course, Vienna or the Turkeys of Terror may still have something to say about us not playing you at all.

Question: How deceitful are you? I believe in Season 14, when you matched up against the top team in your conference, you "threw" the game, and ended up beating up on them in the Conference Finals. The West Nile Piranha, wasn't it?

Eden: Congrats on that, but I wouldn't get too confident. Ivan is definitely a man who knows how to play the mind games and throw you off his trail. I wouldn't be surprised to see a completely different AI than what you've seen in the 30+ scrimmages/regular season games.

Confident? I don't expect to beat them in the playoffs, on the road, with them having a promo. I'm just worried about getting to the CCG. That should be enough to ensure a ticket to Pro. A trophy would be really, really nice, but the important thing is promoting out. For that, Vienna is a bigger obstacle. Even the Turkeys concern me, as they did pretty well defensively against us last game.

I'll worry about the game when we get there. And they haven't been playing with the same AI. They actually made several changes, maybe for us, maybe for Vienna (less likely since this was where I started my scouting process), or maybe for one of their scrimmages. I created some custom D plays specifically to step on things that they didn't end up running much. I'm just gratified my D held as well as it did because it was not designed to stop what they threw at me. Their late season AI doesn't look much like their early season one, either. The good news is I change AIs every competitive game - regular season or playoffs - and always have, even last season when we were 5-11, so this is nothing new.
