First, let me congratulate Melbourne on a game well-played. They were, undoubtedly, the better team on this day. They took advantage of 5 costly turnovers and turned them into 28 points total. I don't know where the 14 points comees from, but our turnovers directly led to four Melbourne TDs. Without those, this game might've been much more hotly contested, but that's all "ifs and buts". When it comes down to it, we got our asses handed to us today. And Wesley's right, it wasn't even close. Of course, that comment upsets me, but it's true. After the first quarter, it went south for us. I tip my cap to you all.

If anyone would've told me before the game that we'd have 322 yards, 2 TDs, and 3 turnovers, I'd have thought we might be able to pull the upset. Alas, it just wasn't meant to be today. If we learn as much from this loss as we did the first, we'll be back in the conference championship game to have a second shot at you. Of course, we'd have to get through Bikini Atoll first, and that's no guarantee.

Best of luck to Melbourne moving forward.

Thanks Chase, it was a little less nerve racking than the game vs. Bikini, but I didn't like watching some of it

The 14 points come from 2 turnovers.

The other 2 turnovers came after we turned the ball over, so I cancel those turnovers out, or at least I don't consider those turnovers as leading to points, as we should have had those drives at those times anyways

But yes, we scored 28 after turnovers, which was the game, if you don't take our TO's into account

Ah, then the 14 points makes more sense, then. Since we scored 14 off 2 of your turnovers, it makes a 14 point swing.
I'm in law school, my math went to Hell as soon as I got into undergrad.

i still maintain that the very first play of the game (kickoff with multiple fumbles lost) set the tone for the game. We lose the offensive series to start, whole different ballgame. Instead, we get the ball back and Holt does what he's been doing all year.

I agree with that. Say we get that ball on your 32-35 yard line. That's likely at least a field goal attempt, and possibly even a touchdown due to the short field. Instead of us chasing you, you're chasing us, and the game's definitely much tighter. Don't know if we could've held on, but there was our chance.

I look at it this way. We come right out and hit you in the mouth. Then you all come out on the very next play and back a dump truck into ours!

This is a good rivalry and I hardly think the end of it.

Good luck to Tonga moving forward.

So, when does the Fresh Meat get here. Hate to see (actually lovin it for next season) Melbourne go, but when do the "new" guys get here. I'm sure we'll be an eye opener showin that were no push over "lesser" conference.

Yeah I love when people see AA and automatically assume we are so weak. I am kind of hoping the team that comes in is like that so when they get smashed we can just sit back and laugh.

Yeah, I absolutly believe that we have teams that can compete well in the upper leagues. A higher level doesn't always mean a better player/team.

How did Christchurch rank ahead of us (after drops and upgrades) when we beat them in the Playoffs?

QFT!
Just like that Fiji team that's talking a load of smack when they went 1-15 in AAA #2 and "earned" the right to play in AA #4. They won't be pushovers by any stretch, but I still think we can handle whoever's set in our path. Next man up, I guess.

SCACE and I are GMs on the team that won AAA#2, we played Fiji and the guys from Fiji are funny guys who are just messing around.

There are still some straglers and gutted teams in AAA, but for the most part they really are better leagues. The competition in Oceania is pretty fierce.

Still, I think you guys will Kick the crap out of whoever gets relegated the next couple seasons, after that it really will be interesting.

Personally speaking, I hope that we top teams all make it up there to ya before you move on up. I'd like to see it interesting the next level up.
