First, let me congratulate Melbourne on a game well-played. They were, undoubtedly, the better team on this day. They took advantage of 5 costly turnovers and turned them into 28 points total. I don't know where the 14 points comees from, but our turnovers directly led to four Melbourne TDs. Without those, this game might've been much more hotly contested, but that's all "ifs and buts". When it comes down to it, we got our asses handed to us today. And Wesley's right, it wasn't even close. Of course, that comment upsets me, but it's true. After the first quarter, it went south for us. I tip my cap to you all.
If anyone would've told me before the game that we'd have 322 yards, 2 TDs, and 3 turnovers, I'd have thought we might be able to pull the upset. Alas, it just wasn't meant to be today. If we learn as much from this loss as we did the first, we'll be back in the conference championship game to have a second shot at you. Of course, we'd have to get through Bikini Atoll first, and that's no guarantee.
Best of luck to Melbourne moving forward.
