1. Nobody doubts you'll be back. Good luck.

2. If we throw our wives in the chipper who will cook us meatloaf?

An extended plateau sure is sounding like a good idea right now...

There is no amount of extension that would keep your players from sucking.

Still misses the point....

I disagree. Some teams have been successful by retooling every season, but for many teams the best solution is to peak for certain seasons, taking dots that are perhaps a little young for the current season but will be the right dots for 1 or 2 seasons from now. The teams that peak to win their Pro Leagues and leave themselves no options for the future made that choice. There is no reason a team couldn't be in the WL, recruit some 320 day old dots that are good, compete, get demoted and be right back in the WL within a season or 2 if they make good choices and get a little lucky.

I realize Valhalla is mostly one guy, but everyone could see this coming a couple of seasons ago. He had a long term plan and executed and it worked out. Plenty of teams could do the same thing, not all would have it work out that well.

Dont forget that this is the first season that decline has started to show its ugly head and that S3 and S4 players could compete with S1 and S2 players because the later were poorly built with limited knowledge.

In regards to the bold... that team wouldnt really be competing while in the WL (hell they dont even make the playoffs and demote). Now they have a 1-2 season window to try and get back into the WL to compete (which they might be unlucky and not make it) but wait you forgot that when they do reach the WL they must recruit more 320 day old dots and start over if they want to remain competitive and keep it going. Who the hell wants to do that? Who wants to play in the WL with a handicap and no shot of winning it (there are always going to be teams that are going all or none)?

I've tried it. We demoted following the experiment (taking the 280 day old dot as well was probably a mistake). We'll be back next season. 4-12 wasn't very good in S12, but we tried. I think we'll be better next season as well when our dots hit day 400...at least I hope so.

We chose to mostly recruit 399 day dots for next season btw. We'll reload in another season or 2 since we don't have a team to merge with.
