the numbers have to mean something he even says: "1) Each column of numbers correlates to a letter. You have to figure out what the path is to the letter."
rows go left to right and columns go up/down. there are 7 columns, so that means there are 7 letters. i believe if we decode it somehow, it will be a word like support or something found on the site, and from there we can gather the answer to the clue.
the game is a scavenger hunt. we need to FIND the clues, not solve the riddles and get the clues. he referred to national treasure. and in the movie they were given a riddle, and they found the clue by going to the place where the riddle led them.
