I have to agree DD , if it's all going to change anyway than just make ALL teams go through the same thing now. Not just some teams. This has the feeling of "we're just not sure so we'll do this for now" and leads to my other post an hour or so ago about just more problems to be fixed 3-4 seasons from now no ?
Again I love the idea but it's pretty lame if not everyone has to follow it.
just to clarify:
you think that all teams should get their funds reset to some set number based on the league that they are in?
Pretty much , if the money means nothing "coming soon" or whatever the implementation is then why do those teams need the money now ? That's what i can't figure out about the whole thing. Why not just re-set everyone at the same time ? Am I missing something here , had to do some work and this thing went from like page 40 something to here.

lots of it is filler. you're not missing much, aside from lulz
If we accept the premise that piles of cash are an advantage in this game, then it's inescapable that teams who dropped down prior to S14 will possess such an advantage over teams that dropped down prior to S15. And those teams will end up competing against one another over the long-haul.

or maybe this fixes the now and enhances the future plan

it would probably be fair with the equipment change. altho the exploit would be right now everyone would spend all of their remaining cash on their players.
Resetting cash and stadiums is something that should have been implemented a long time ago and it's something that will definitely improve the game for the good.
But to not retroactively apply these rules to the teams who did this for the past couple of seasons is idiotic at best; a simple script could limit the teams cash and stadium would take minutes to sort out. You don't have to apply the rules as aggressively for these teams but limit their stadium and cash to a more realistic number.
That way the teams that are retroactively being "fixed" aren't being punished too harshly and they still get their advantage, but it's an advantage that isn't insurmountable for the new teams to compete with.
