Either way, this rule is a bad idea. If you actually do revamp the financial system, then there was no point to making this change in the first place. If you don't revamp it, then you're punishing one group of people for bad timing while allowing people who did the same thing a season earlier come out ahead.

I agree with you on this.

Put teams into league by some sort of record (or Effective Level/player age for people mad about SSB).

new changes plus full reset = complete destruction of SSB

I understand, and it's sucky, but I feel like I can't in good conscience start resetting everyone's teams based on a brand new rule. We debated on adding the rule, hemmed and hawed, and that's our fault, not the owners'.
Some people are already annoyed by the new rule, even with warning. Retroactively enforcing it is not something they're going to stand for IMO.
Over time, those teams will weed out as they demote again or promote back to the higher ranks where it doesn't matter as much.

Bort/Peter you are one decent dude but if you want this game to live you have to understand that it's all inclusive. Stop catering to a few and make all rules apply to EVERYONE , or the cows will move over the hill to graze man.

I have to agree DD , if it's all going to change anyway than just make ALL teams go through the same thing now. Not just some teams. This has the feeling of "we're just not sure so we'll do this for now" and leads to my other post an hour or so ago about just more problems to be fixed 3-4 seasons from now no ?

Again I love the idea but it's pretty lame if not everyone has to follow it.

If you actually believe that, then there's no reason not to apply it to all teams.

It's simple logic. Say, for instance, that the U.S. government promised to ban ownership of Toyota automobiles by the end of 2010. If so, then what would be the purpose behind forcing a recall now? The coming measure would obviously make the current one irrelevant. Similarly, if the "new cash system" is actually going to make big piles of cash irrelevant, then trying to get rid of some piles of cash while letting other teams keep other piles of cash is nonsensical.

just to clarify:

you think that all teams should get their funds reset to some set number based on the league that they are in?

Does this mean team chemistry will be reset as well?

More like, I understand things immediately while it takes you weeks if not months to eventually come around and realize that I was correct all along. This has happened more times than I can count, so I foolishly hope that things will change while past experience tells me I'm wasting the effort.

if you force a recall now you can prevent over 9 months of death to the general population

YOU = FAIL
