I think the biggest issue is that you can only keep so many users competitive. Some guys are gonna suck. But what is controllable are stuff like CPUs, stuff like that.

I'm thinking this offseason all leagues should be contracted. Any CPU team at the end of the season is not brought yet.

Put teams into league by some sort of record (or Effective Level/player age for people mad about SSB).

Then allow the selling of teams. After that, you put the brought teams into their own league. Any additional unbought CPU teams are "parked" and not in league play.



I'm actually not a big fan of promotion/demotion, but I feel like it would be too much work for some people to reshuffle and put together teams every year with regards to rivalries (bullshit concept anyway) and things like that. Though a script to do that would not be hard.

Championship game appearance- 2 cap jump.
Playoff appearance- 1 cap jump.
Failed to make playoffs- 1 cap jump unless all players are underneath the cap by 3 levels, where a team'll stay. Failed to make playoff teams would probably be put in their own leagues, again.
CPU team- removed from league play and parked unless purchased in the offseason by method posted above.


I'm throwing around the idea of FA players maybe be able to get onto parked teams like D-leagues. Parked teams would only play each other in CPU owned leagues.
