I am simply amazed at how over the past 4 weeks this forum as devolved into what it is now. It all started becuase everyone got pissed when Rod said that we only plan to be here for one season. Which is true. Hopefully every team plans to play well enough to get promoted next season. Evidently that's not the case. (He could have been a bit more diplomatic, but he isn't running for election...)

That being said, he pissed some people off, they responded, he called in for back-up from the team, and all hell has broken loose all season. I haven't participated much, becuase most of it is ignorent and stupid from the both GCC AND everyone who has responded. Both sides contributed to the problem. (Although Diodeous, has made it worse, you just got to ignore the guy, most of us do in our own forum)

We lost 3 games in a row, a mid-season slump just like we did last season, we still made a run, and fought really well in the championship game. The team as a whole has improved alot since last season, but we still had the same mid-season slump. Only time will tell if we can make a run in the playoffs. We are just as capable of any team ranked above us, to do so. Will we?? Not sure yet. Can we?? Absolutely.

When it comes down to it, everyone who has participated in the constant bitch-fest between a select group of Corsairs and the rest of AAA1, has been immature and ignorent. Like some of you, I check it to see what stupid crap has gone on that day, laugh and move on. Let it go fellas. Let it go.


P.S. If some of my teammates really have been playing on relaxed, then they need to kick their own asses. I can tell you my OT and MLB have only played on hard all season.

And yeah, the Beavers are a one trick pony. It's super hard to make a power back in this game. Power backs aren't ridiculous this season. Nope not in the slightest. I see your Quarters back threw for a very brag worthy 65 yards. Man that's really impressive.

Also, like I said, the team is 2-3 since you joined with solid victories over the 5-7 Thundercats and 4-8 Death. Wow, you should really be bragging about your accomplishments with this team. The Corsairs had the #1 ranked rush defense when we shoved it right down your throats for almost 250 yards to your #3 ranked rush offenses 41.5 yards. The top 8 teams in the league in pass attempts are the bottom 8 in record, so you tell me please why we should pass when we can obviously run it down your weak defense's throat.

Not to defend Flu, but I think what he was trying to point out in his post, was that becuase GLB has made season 4 the season of the Power Back, any team with a average Power back can rack up the yards on even good teams. I am on a few teams, where teh well built elusive back can't do crap, but an average powerback is dominating. Each GLB season is unique from another. This is the season of the power back.

At least thats what I want to think he was trying to point out...

And this league laughs when they all come crashing down with their egos. Last year it was the Heat, Rubberbandman and DAKING, and this year it is the select few on your team that have the crown.

Pretty much like sugg said. I mostly laugh at the trash talk. I mean, lets all remember that this is pretend internet football here, after all. Some have fun in one way, others have fun in another way. Some of us are more diplomatic, others are not. But you all do have to admit -- without people like Rod and Diodeous and flu, the forums would probably have been much less entertaining this season.

But I think it boils down to what Ksugg said -- have some fun with the game, and don't take anything said here seriously. Go out and try to enjoy yourself, don't look for things to get offended at.

Have some fun. Trash talk back. And realize that this is the internet -- 99.99% of the people you meet here are people you'll never see in the real world. Use that and have some fun with it.
