Tell me why A4 is the best league? They aren't even close.
One note, I think you are looking at the wrong sheet. The last sheet has the new rankings following week 6, and has two A2 teams in the top 10, another at 14, and a fourth at 26. (A2 has 4 in the top 26; A4 has 4 in the top 24).
Also, it's really splitting hairs, but I'll stand by A4 has having the best teams. For one, A4 has had as many of its top teams face off against each other as any conference. The Longhorn Legion (5), for instance, has already played the Nebraska Blackshirts (31) and Rotterdam Cheetahs (24), not to mention the game tomorrow against Hamburg (22). Had Nebraska and Rotterdam not faced the Legion, each would easily be up in the top 10. Dublin (18) has also already beaten Canterbury (50), Dayton (65) and Amsterdam (37).
I'm not saying A2 hasn't had it tough as well. The Fire's games against Barcelona (43) and Ljublana (69) were certainly no gimmes, and Camelot (72) has had as tough a schedule as anyone with Helsinki (6) and Chelsea (14). It's just a subjective view at this point.
Of course, since I'm partial to A6 I hope we find that A6 is stronger than it looks.
A2 Alpha, my conference, is not nearly as strong as Zeta. They have 6 teams that I would be very scared to face. Unfortunately for these rankings, almost everyone of them faced the worst competition possible in the first 5 games of the year. I'd put my money on the Brighton Bears, Ironton Tanks, Helsinki Hammers, Chelsea Cardinals, and Camelot Kings to play any team in this tournament tough. A few of these teams aren't high in numbers at all. Their conference has to have the toughest top end teams I've seen in any conference by far. They will end up hurting each other's records, but they are very good teams no matter where they fall on these rankings.
