With growth hormons, steroids and a strict Big Mac diet! ;-)
No, seriously, I don't think there's any way to influence that!

Don't worry about hidden fees or anything! You can do whatever you want, you're just limited by the number of Flex Points (FP) you have. And FP are the only thing you can pay real money for with this game.
If you don't have enough FP to do stuff (like creating another player e.g.) the game will just tell you that you have insufficient FP, they won't charge you automatically!
They couldn't charge you anyways since they don't have your credit card info or anything...

From what I've read, teams that perform well move up a league, which would mean that opposite for teams that do poorly. How exactly does this work?
If my team has the 4th worst record in the Eastern conference would we be in jeopardy of moving down a league?
I guess what I should ask is, how many from each conference move up/down?

How do I gain EXP?
You gain EXP through training and playing time. Flex Point Boosting also gives you 1000 EXP. At first these bonuses will be large, but will decrease over time, making it harder to level up.
Do you get XP through making plays or just being on the field for a play? Can you tell us how many you'd get? Finally, does playing hard, normal, relaxed make a difference to you XP gains?

Just being on the field, making plays doesn't really matter (as far as XP). You get a certain amount based on the number of plays you play, and it decreases each level you go up. I don't know about certain amounts per play. The only way play intensity affects XP is that if you play on hard, you won't be in as many plays, and if you play relaxed, you'll probably be in on more plays. So relaxed would likely give the most XP, but you won't play as well in the game.

I think two teams move up and two teams move down. If you have the 4th worst record in the Eastern conference, you will not be moving down.

Simmed. There is no "live" viewing as they sim every game at the same time.

That's coming up fast. I believe it is close to the last day you can boost your players for season 1. They want it to be realsitic in how long it takes for it to be built (ie 3 days opposed to a 12 hour setup as it's a considerable addition).
