Seriously some kids are getting out of hand around here and I would hope all of them read these simple guidelines...

It's not going to happen, and even if it did, they aren't going to follow it. Too much freedom for them to handle so they're going to post whatever goes through their mind no matter how ignorant or vulgar it is. And when they can't think of anything they'll post "Binary" random links and sometimes nothing at all. It's ridiculous, and I wouldn't want the mods' jobs.

It is a problem of incentives (or lack-there-of). I've seen it end like this every time it happens.

Enter Ridiculous Asshole (RA): I want attention so I will say something stupid or try to piss people off. (waits for response)

FFA Members: You moron. GTFO. You suck.

RA: Am I bothering you? You suck as well.

FFA Members: You got pwned. You suck.

RA: No you suck. I just pwned you. (and he or she receives the intended response and attention)

There is no incentive (aside from the occasional 2 day ban) to keep people in check. If people would just ignore spammers and flamers, the problem would not be a problem. However, there is no incentive for them to do so. The question is...could an incentive system be applied for existing users that would encourage them not to respond to these posts? Prolly not.

Good posts guys. Keep thinking. And I do think ignoring is an option. The less you say to these people the less fun they have and they will eventually move on. Just overcome the need to blast away on them, even though they deserve it. Wait until they post in an existing good thread and THEN WAIL AWAY.

I'll ignore MM...I just don't think it will work. We shall see, whenever he decides to attack the FFA again...thats if he decides to do it again.

If most everybody does it, it will work. No use getting caught up in threads like the ones he posts. Unfortunately, it does get boring in here sometimes and people are looking for anything to post in. Just remember, if you post in his thread you are part of the problem.

I think we need more discussion threads. Like someone post an actual topic of discussion everyday instead of the random diahrrea(sp?) splattered all over the boards.

I volunteer to start tomorrow's discussion thread!
