If this was such a terribly unthinkable thing to do, it will work itself out. His players won't want to stay because they will want to compete at a higher level than he is willing to attain.

At any rate, the personal attacks and other forms of chicanery are downright uncalled for. Certainly, those who make personal attacks are a lower form of human being than those who throw online football games where nobody is hurt but themselves.

No, they hurt every player on their team who worked all season for the chance to win, and they went against the integrity of the game.

Their fan support should be lowered to zero, as no fans would go to see a team that admitted throwing a conference championship.

If I had paid to boost I would be out of control right now. As it is, you put your time into this game and for them to throw it is just wrong.

We better have been "out-gameplanned"!!! We tried something completely new and untested. That was our plan. If we can beat them with such a ridiculous game plan, then we'll go up. If not, we'll stay here (we know how the leveling game works), and see if we can do it next season. I am a GM and I would have wanted to pass the ball a whole lot more, but when it comes down to it, "The Show"is the owner and has the final say.

Additionally, some have been saying that getting promoted to the next level will result in a subsequent demotion/relegation back to here next season. Not TRUE. Whoever responded about getting a low playoff seed is much more accurate.

I really can't believe how big of a deal everyone has been making of this. If you have a problem with the decision, get a team and don't make the same decision. It is his team and it was his choice. Get over it.

uuuummmmm once again it is not a team choice or we would hear it from more players on the team... instead we have now heard one player say it was a decision that was made but he will no longer be a part of it next season... it looks like what would have been supporters before are now changing their mind... no matter what your team will not win next year anyway so this is all for not...

And here I thought the whole idea was to win. But apparently it is to win during the regular season and then take a dive in the playoffs so you can...what? Do it again next season?

Damn, if I were on that team I would be walking...no, running...to go somewhere they actually had a clue as to the freaking PURPOSE of the game. Maybe if you guys petition Bort, you can get sent to the A leagues in Africa and that way you can go 19-1 every year.

Glad to hear that. Always like playing against top quality teams. Hopefully no more "HKGunslinger" type of teams will be in this season.

Yep, those teams are getting old. Hopefully the teams that are going to come up from this league and SEA AA#1 will be worth the money...

Who are you kidding?!? Do you honestly poll every member on your team in order to come up with a game plan?

We will look forward to the walk backing up all of this talk...

The difference is that our game plan is to WIN and no we dont have to poll all of our players to do that.... it is EXPECTED of us to do that...

The only thing that matters in this game is trophies. That's it that's all. I would rather win a trophy and lose every game the next season. If these idiots cheated themselves out of a trophy which I highly doubt I think it's hilarious.

Someone should link this to the main board and watch them get there asses handed to them for making up this pathetic lie. LOL

These guys are clowns, plain and simple... They are whats wrong with this game.

Do you take polls? Just to see who wants to win or lose? What a joke of a team, everyone on our team expects to win even against the top flighted teams. We might not win against all but you don't see our expansion asses taking a poll to move down to AA, nope, we got together and decided trying to win was more important instead of moving down to a league to try and dominate. A game is only fun if there is competition.

For that final statement you proved what a tool you are. Wanting to make yourselves feel better by pounding on lesser teams instead of being a stand up team and fighting to become better at the next level. i hope just because you've outright said you threw the game that the powers that be make a managment descicion and shove your team into AAA anyways. Make you deal with the fear you didn't want to face.

Bravo. I myself took a route as a new owner that could have been one a littl ebetter, but hell we won 2-3 more games as a 1st yr team than I thought we would because I started with almost all lower level guys to build for the future and not one season. When we noticed we had a legit chance at the playoffs in this past season we decided to talk some of our guys wanting to wait the extra time fr their final couple boost to do it for the final game in hopes of pulling down the final spot in the playoffs. I you don't want to win then why play?

I tool a break form GLB—and the insanely repetitive advanced tactics--the last two days and come back to the largest thread in SEA AAA #2. I know S.U.F.C. had a great season and believes that they will continue to dominate next season. They might. I guess we will know in about a month and a half. Either way though this has to be the most spineless act in a browser game. With new advanced tactics, changes to game play, and lower level players increasing in level faster then higher level ones there is no guarantee that your team will even be receiving a home field game in the playoffs next season. I personally hope your team falls apart over the next few seasons because of this and you are forced to sell. There is really no place for this type of garbage in an online game.

Interesting thread....the analogy that comes to mind is those gamers who play NCAA 2009 on Junior Varsity because they have more fun winning every game 117-0 than playing on All-American or Heisman and playing the game the way it was intended.

To each their own I guess but I, for one, play every game (even simulated browswer football games) to win at the highest level possible. Why else would you play at all??

Was it morally the right thing to do? No.
Is it illegal? Not from what I have seen. This is not the first I have heard of this type of team plan.

The fact is they did it and they are staying in AA#2. I may be the only one, but I am kind of glad. My team lost to 3 opponents in the regular season and SUFC was one of them. I would love to play them again. Since I am in Zeta we would have to be matched up for the last game of the season again or make it to the championship, but I would really like the opportunity.

Technically what they did was not in the spirit of the game, but I doubt it will be the last time anyone sees this happen. I can tell you that my team has been recruiting non stop and once the offseason hits tomorrow we will go in to overdrive to improve our team anyway we can. Everyone can post on forum, but there can only be one SE Asia AA #2 league champion. If everyone really wants to put it to SUFC work hard in the offseason and let your team speak for you when you face them on the field.
