Its just simply, if you think were gonna move up and be a punching bag next season, that aint happening.

If by punching bag you mean not in the playoffs then yes, yes you will be.

If you mean that you will play some competitive ball games and they won't be easy like Omaha Beef then you're right, you won't be a punching bag. But I still contend that unless you fix your depth issues you won't make the playoffs in Season 1. All of the playoff teams from last year have better #2 guys than y'all do.

True enough. I personally hope I AM wrong. I'd rather have the league as strong as it can be. Nobody is out to get y'all.

I have just seen teams with Lv 18 backups get eaten alive in this league. Your Lv 18 backups come in and are playing against Lv 22+ players vs. the upper teams in this league.

Speak for yourself -- I actually would like at least a couple of bye weeks next season. This league is going to be brutal enough as it is.

There doesn't seem to be much chatter about one team moving up that will definitely be making the playoffs next year....the Canton Hall of Famers!!!!

I won't argue that we have zero holes, but several of our 18's can play, especially Frisky's builds. They're better than an awful lot of the 20's out there on the FA market that everyone seems to be ready to kill for. I'd guess that I pass on 60% of the builds I click on while scouting the available players because they just wouldn't play for us (and before someone says it, I rarely even look at anything below a 20). Granted you guys probably don't have a whole lot of those, but it just shows you levels aren't everything.

There will definitely be some games we have a hard time winning, but I personally expect us to play a lot of close games and end up somewhere between 7-9 and 10-6 depending on how we do in the close ones, kind of like Oklahoma last year. There was a lot of the same trash-talking in one of the BBB threads last year and the Hitmen, Thunder and Washed Up Rockstars all came up and did reasonably well for themselves (no idea who the 4th one was).

I will wholeheartedly agree that levels aren't the end all be all. But on top of high levels, the GMs in this league know how to build players.

I'm NOT saying you're going to come in and get destroyed every week. You have a good team. But this is just a sick league from top to bottom and hard to just jump right in and make the playoffs.

Your team may not be a push over... but this is going to be a rocky season for you guys regardless.... Can you make the playoffs? Maybe, maybe not... but there is a lot of football to be played between now and when its time to worry about that...

I would just like to state for the record that OUKurt was the first one to use Spartans and playoffs in the same sentence.

Ouch! This league is tough though and it seemed like every one of the Thunder's games could have gone either way. This year though we will let our chemistry fill up and hopefully win a couple of the close games. We lost to your Horns by only 4 points and the already boosted now champion Bears by only 8 ... but still didn't make the playoffs.

I guess that just shows you how close the 1 - 9 teams were this year.

You should check out my skills in terms of peeing in the snow -- that's where I really shine.

I'll say it for you.. I put a player through USA A 2 on a playoff team the first two seasons.... Yes. The league was tougher as a whole. Yes. There are a few dominant teams that no BBB team will have a shot against. finally, Yes. The Spartans will be a playoff team here...... book it. Their OL and DL play is sickening strong, and their strategies are stout.
