out of curiosity, do you have a high receiving awareness on your receivers?

Lowest we have is around 71 I believe. I do feel like tech and power being at 80+ could be a factor considering hands is a relatively high on the receivers.

Last season was rough, and we’re already matching our drops for the entirety of last season. We thought it was just due to the deep field changes, but we tried to run plays at a variety of levels against the Kentucky Mountaineers and they slaughtered us. Players’ families are still calling about life insurance lol.

Or, if everyone who is investing in receiving awareness is having massively higher drops than people who don't - it could be working backwards or working against you somehow.

I haven’t thought of that. I have noticed that if the defense tries to make a play, but fails, receivers tend to drops the big play potential passes. Maybe awareness has them focusing too much on adjustments & that’s putting them in bad catch angles?

Could be balanxe failures, or just poor RNG at In opportune times. We dropped 2 wide open tds and it cost us the game in soph. But for all I know is we rolled a couple of poorly timed 1s. Then on the otherside we may be rolling really high rolls on contested… we may never know

My best guess for the awareness (Or at least Ellix' since he brought this up first and I agree) is that it's causing the players to be able to react and get a hand on more bad passes but not haul them in - my main issue with this being the cause is that the longer a player 'sees' the ball, he is supposed to gain a bonus to being able to catch it - so while he may be reaching more hard to get passes, he also should see a massive drop in the regular drops that occur due to the higher aware giving a much higher bonus to a player who is locked onto a ball earlier. It should also theoretically make these hard to catch passes easier because of how early he is reacting to it.

So it shouldn't be causing a higher drop total overall unless it's just not helping at all in terms of catching and is only helping in terms of getting a hand on the ball. You'd think even if all it was doing was helping positioning, that a better position on the catches would also lower drop %....

I’ve been around for a while, plus am on the discord. Ty does all the talking, but I do the reading lol. We spend hours at night complaining about passing on Madden, so I will say that most of the complaints are over ambitious

My record isn’t great yet, but i at least run the defense! I don’t want to just be considered as Ty’s extension lol (I watch the videos everyone makes as well ).

My builds are better btw. Taking it from the texts to the forums

Better builds huh? Ambitious my ass; you can join the rest of the anti-QBers.

HBs eating our ass up for lunch, but 5+ 40-yard DBs keeping up with sub 4.5 WRs? That's where I draw the line. Literally went from a shootout to a pro GLB2 HB ceremony. Not mad we got obliterated due to the rain and the HBs putting people on skates, but definitely pissed that's not recreated on the passing side. Why make fast shifty players in the first place?

Plus side though, our drops are down as far as I've seen. Thanks Raid & Viper I guess? Been down since you all & my sidekick offered suggestions.

Relax, I’ll post your madden stats.

The defense sold lol. Rain vs a well built rushing team wasn’t in the cards. Safeties died out the gate.

Was hoping to keep the shoot-out going as well, but we were destined to die

Whatever bro. I have so many complaints about this game, and little energy to complain about it anymore. Give the defenses their props, but the whole passing situation is fucked. After that contract we gave DJ though, GLB2 might be right. Passing's fucked in general these days.

I heard that in our team review someone said our blockers should build to pass enough but focus on the run? That's all I need to hear & know about the direction of the game. I want a Patty M, not a Danny D (respectfully, but preferably) and no one wants to see it happen.

No, I agree with this. Running should be an option, not the default. It's getting there. Just takes time.
