We could skip the Canada A level in promotions, but I have a feeling that bottom of the barrel Canada AA teams (some of whom have CPU players) might not like the idea.

This was sort of an expiriment to see if we could add teams mid-season in a better way; seems like it worked out ok, except you didn't have 8 more games to play catchup with the higher league.

We're going to lift the cap next season, so you are all probably going to have to do some recruiting since some higher level guys will be able to move in. Will it really make a difference if you're moved up and recruit or stay in the same spot and recruit? Thoughts?

My issue is this: if we move up, we basically have to gut our team, which is a shame. Our backups leave, our starters become backups and we move along. It's against the spirit of the game.

Thus, my belief that there should be no promotion this season.

Couldn't we just demote the bottom of Canada AA to another league? I doubt that the Canada AA team's will object and the third place team from another league could get promoted instead. I think that would solve almost all of the problem.

If Bort does decide to promote this season then I think he has to do so in a manner that would help make the situation most fair, a chemistry grace period and a large money boost. I also feel he should not force a team to be promoted this season, instead contacting the owners in a descending promotion rank and asking the owner.

I don't really see why they need to be demoted at all. Up til about 3 weeks ago they all thought they were staying put since there were no lower leagues.

Would be pretty dumb to throw playoff games since the promotion is based off of regular season records, or atleast this is what i have read on this site many times.

nope, promotion, is the 2 teams that make the championship game.

Thorn replied to my support message as well. He had no idea that it was even in question.

He replied to one of my GMs as well.

Can we get a final word from Bort? I really don't want my team getting crushed in AA if we manage to get promoted.. Not to mention I really like our league here in Canada #3!
