Re-read your last sentence: Take it (Sprinting) to 50 with still keeping all your power.
You're not talking about the present but rather the future. I can't have that Sprinting and that Power currently. Hence the problem.
Weight is a constant, not a variable.
The math equation for the posters who don't understand is:
Power Rushing+Energy (Conditioning) > Power Tackling+Tackle Tech, etc AND (now) Weight
Out of everything above Skill Values change over time by SP. Weight never changes.
It's one of those things where you need to clear the hurdle and as a Rookie/Soph you won't have the SPs to deal with it.
The idea is fine, the implementation was horrible.

I can get behind the thought that the sacks are a bit ridiculous on screens. But ranting about how underpowered FB running is at over 3 ypc is just like...are you fucking kidding me?
You don't even gameplan, like, at all. You just expect that your guy just dominates every game and we should all just applaud that.
Dominate? Where did I ask for Morn Hyland type results????
You're unhinged.
My team has scored 3 points over 4 games. The last game was to an Inactive team with CPU players on D at 40 Chem and it lead to a shutout.
Wow is the bar at the wrong level in your head with regard to what I'm talking about.

I can get on board with FB screens being complete garbage. An overhaul is definitely needed.
But breaking tackles in rookie and soph has never been easy. It takes a lot of power running before you start to see it paying off and that doesn't happen until the higher tiers. You gotta add the physicals, particularly speed first. This has always been the case, even before the weight changes.
So you are spamming pass plays that are broken and feeding the ball to a FB who is slower than my grandma and not enough power rushing to break tackles consistently. Your results are expected.

That said, a 3.8 rushing average in Soph is well below the norm for a S* HB, yes?
I am unhinged? Are you even for real? You run an offense at a sophomore level packed with 50% FB screens and are going bonkers over the results of a egg in your face. If you were racking up the points with that offense it would be gross for the game.

Blitzing has always been OP in rookie/soph and some screens are awful. With that said, should we just accept that awful plays are awful and not even viable against any defense even if the play should theoretically excel or be terrible depending on the opposing defenses. Xars soecifically built a team for highlighting certain poor areas of the game. It would be nice to make terrible plays perform better at least situationally but many people have asked for play fixes across many seasons. The devs do not seem to have interest on adjustinf individual plays while finding what is wrong in each of them then testing how they perform against all defensive plays. Instead, they have chosen to add new plays and see what will stick. Some new additions have been good and others have not. I suspect that this trend will continue. Instead of clamoring for fixes on broken plays, it would probably be best to ask for focused crap to be thrown at the wall (FB runs, screens or whatever) and we can see if anything sticks?

GLB works in trends and as long as the game is being worked on season to season everything eventually sees its day in the sun. This seasons fix to screens didn't work out well, but next seasons might make them unstoppable.

As with anything, they should be strong against certain plays and shut down against others. There should be strategy involved with deploying them just as there should be with other plays with differing routes, run directions and yadda, yadda yadda.

This, and this is also the problem because there are MULTIPLE plays that don't work against any defense, even the ones that they should destroy. There are probably more of these bad plays that don't work against anything than there are generally plays that work against something.

I think that I outlined that a bit in my first response. The Devs do not seem willing to work on plays individually to make them work where they should while ensuring that they do not when they should not. It would be very time consuming obviously. I am not saying that I would not appreciate it as I have been one of the people asking for them to fix the incredibly broken plays at various points in my time here. The truth of the matter is that they have never done this so I would not expect them to tackle it at this point. I think that the only thing that we can hope for that might happen is for them to create a whole slew of plays that highlight areas that have little to no plays that are effective such as FB runs and screens. I am sure that we could cook up a few others as well. After that, we would just have to hope for 1-4 of them to actually work. It is just a more realistic outcome and not necessarily what I would prefer to see happen.

I do believe that the plays need fixed cause they are trash. But I was more meaning that in the 2 beginning tiers the speed of the power rusher is more important.

Yeah trying to power rush in rookie/soph is retarded

What the fuck is wrong with the fb runs? This is what is kinda annoying to me. We aren't cool with fb runs until you are pitching for 6 to 8 ypc?

Right. But I'm outlining how this game has worked for 10 plus years.

Many of them get blown up in the backfield. There are a select few that seem viable for short gains. I just have not seen enough run effectively against quality teams.
