And you're job is to exploit it. It's Fantasy.

lol, wtf?

You play in a fantasy league with Bill Belichick or something? Because none of the guys I play with can influence the roster or the game plan, and to date I thought people here with power over certain players were being pretty good about not being asshats about it so as not to ruin the fun for everyone else.

Again. Yes it's an added element with GLB2 but I guess you don't watch ESPN.

Last year, Tim Hasselback picked up his brother on waivers in his ESPN league because Matt told him he'd be starting because Andrew Luck was injured. Inside information is something you're supposed to get or at least be cognizant that others may have it.

So if the ESPN guys can get had by the Hasselback brothers, you think it shouldn't happen in Stobie's GLB2 Fantasy???

Feel free to respond to the question in the post above yours. Given that I'm dialing up the passing game, I'm apparently an asshat no matter who I pick in fantasy.

It can be considered shady but it was within the rules.

Honestly, considering GLB's track record for rule benders I'm surprised this wasn't prevented somehow to begin with.

In no way is this transgression on par with something like changing an opponent's GP last minute or clearing out a roster. It's no different than us not picking our players if we know they won't be used much. Most everybody has done that.

HEY!.... Why don't you code this shit yourself.

Ohhh wait I take no offense LOL! I know I should have thought about it, but creating a game with no controls of the system is pretty frustrating on my part.

I don't want it to seem like I'm criticizing your awesome contribution to the game, but hating on Spas for this would be like hating on people who spammed GL QB Rollout BITD. (Me) It's not the agent's fault for finding/exploiting a hidden strategy in the game. Hell, that's majority of the fun of GLB.

Without your work Stobie I fear this game wouldn't still be around. You are the Messiah!

Nah I don't blame Spas for what happened. It was a matter of time before the situation came up. I am hoping my change will limit the exposure if/when it does. If it happens again, I will take the next step to minimize again. I can't squash because I can't control who can/cannot be used in the game so I can only adapt.

This is the main reason I am not banning Spas or even punishing him. Rather I put everyone else on the same advantage as he had.

So seriously, what should I do next time I'm starting the passing QB? Because that's definitely going to happen again.

Don't say a word.

I do not see anything wrong with what he did. It's his team that he can do with as he wishes, with whatever insider info he has. I'd almost say this should have just been considered a valid, though sly, tactic adding another dimension to the overall strategy involved. We can't help that the ladder has set up a lot of lopsided matches this season, either.

I would say nothing. We all know to be careful now. Not just for your players, but anybody who wants to play decoy with their roster...

LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ALL YE WHO PLAY THIS GAME OF FANTASY!! WHAT APPEARS TO BE ON THE SURFACE MAY BE REMARKABLY DIFFERENT IN THE COLD DEPTHS OF REALITY!!

I wouldn't call you an asashat in any situation. You've constructed a roster that allows you to game the system (so to speak) for fantasy. You're probably one of the few who could've exposed this and the situation was exacerbated by the lack of top players available. That said, I don't think the practice is "right" but I can't really suggest an alternative that's feasible.

As it stands, Stobie has changed his code to prevent this from being as big an issue in the future and fixed the problem for everyone affected. As it stands, I'm the only one who gets screwed because I chose a QB that had a shitty day.

Are people's jimmies really this rustled over so trivial?

If anything, this complaining is punishing Stobie the most. He makes a kick ass game and offers free prizes, and now I'd imagine he's probably had to deal with added stress of finding a solution to the problem.

Spastic played within the rules, no matter how butthurt anyone is over it. If you think there's a problem with the current model of the game, then there are two valid solutions:

A. post constructive feedback and proposed solutions to the issue (not stupid ass ones like banning someone for not breaking rules)

B. Make good players and run your own team. Then you can do it yourself.

It made for some fun forum banter at least

Without Peeti, Tdiddy or Parab00n we don't have enough "jimmie's getting rustled" lately.

edit: l already used this gameplan against NW Storms (8-3, #8 in Vet), so you're just way off base.

Every time you post itt you change your story from intentional troll to legit game plan. You aren't credible.

If you answer yes, you're saying I'm not allowed to bench my own QB for the other one on my roster. That's pretty obviously dumb.

If you answer no, you're saying I can use my inside information to avoid hurting myself, but not to help myself. That's also pretty obviously dumb.

If the answer is I had to start the running QB in fantasy with the knowledge that he was benched, then again that's pretty obviously dumb.

Yes, you are an asshat.
