Shame he was so embarrassed by his team that he quit.

You should thank me. I shamed them.
But yes, they did update the changelog during recruiting/ player building so for that I give them props.

Analysis of changes:
- Fixed a problem with facing angle calculations when deciding the chance of falling down after catching a pass (players should be much less likely to fall down when facing ball).
Quickness buff to WRs/TEs, etc.
- Greatly reduced the chance of falling down when catching a screen pass, especially when facing the ball.
Quickness buff to WRs/TEs, etc.
- Improved QB rollout logic so they can stop rolling out and go the other way if there are defenders in the way.
QB Pocket Awareness buff. Should be at least.
- Improved QB rollout avoidance math so they can have more freedom to move around and avoid defenders/blockers as they roll out
QB Pocket Awareness buff. Should be at least.
- Increased the base movement speed for QB when he rolls out of the pocket. The speed was previously the same as backpedaling speed, which made quicker QB's less mobile than they should be.
Are the days of the Dual Threat QB about to begin? Buff to Sprinting on QBs.
- Fixed a problem where an end of half timeout called before a field goal wouldn't run the clock down to 1 second before kicking. The issue was usually caused by certain too-low safe FG range settings.
Gameplay buff.
- Added a fix that should apply to a long-standing rare knocked loose bug, where it should be a forced fumble instead
Gameplay buff. Thank you!
- Increased general chance of catching a pass behind the LOS
Screen buff.
- Greatly Increased chance of throwing a "quality" pass on screen passes
Screen buff.
Remember not to discount the value of consistency skills here though -- these buffs can be counteracted by poor consistency rolls in pressure situations like 4th down!
Reminder for anyone thinking Consistency doesn't matter.

Had I known the Screen buff was coming, I wouldn't have retired Morn to rebuild her and reset LZ Boys. I guess just mentioning my impending rage on HB screens was enough to trigger the screen buff.
I move mountains. That's what it is.

I am not so sure that this is a speed buff. This could apply to the passing QB shuffling sideways during passes if you allow your QB to "roll out" in which event it would be a footwork buff. It would also align with the other QB changes in the passing game which appear to be an attempt to allow QBs to have a greater opportunity to avoid pressure and get a pass off in 3rd and long situations. Will be interesting to see how this one unfolds in sims as far as which direction this buff actually went.

You've done a heroes job, mate.
Looking forward to seeing the new changes in action, and glad I'm not in rookie this season.

My take is that the sprinting attribute will be taken into account when the QB is moving around in the pocket or rolling out.

Yes but a QB tactic setting allowing a QB to "roll out" and QB rollout plays are two different things. I believe this is applying his ability to move laterally or to shuffle. Notice that he mentioned it was using the backpeddling speed which directly correlates with footwork. Side stepping and shuffling has always been footwork dependent IMO. I believe this buff applies to a QBs lateral shuffling ability if he decides to "roll out" tactically on passing plays. Will this inadvertently buff elusive rushing QBs though if I am correct?

NVM. The whole statement reads like it is a sprinting buff. For some reason I read Xars differently. LOL

I meant during passing plays. He says it was previously the same as backpeddling (Footwook) but was raising it so mobile QBs were quicker. My thought is that sprinting will now play into the quickness of rolling out of the pocket.
Can't see it changing the actual rollout runs, though.

You say that now! I just had to go back and re-read the changelog to make sure I wasn't tripping
