Just count up the gold trophies, that's all there is to it.

Lots of valid points on both sides of the "is TxSteve any good" argument" and I have no issue with any of it.
But the people who argue that Rob isn't clearly the best coach to have played this game are just silly. #1 in tier at every level in the same season?? #1 at every tier (probably more than once) with multiple styles of offense and defense?
That's just trolling, bros. It isn't debatable.
Don't fault USC or anyone else for having and sharing their own opinions. But while it can be easy to put a bunch of asterisks by my name in the discussion -- I don't really see how anyone can honestly put asterisks next to Rob's! Have some integrity you bastards.
Not really important to me to have any kind of GLB2 legacy. Game is fun. Wish I had the flex to build my own team from start to finish again - but I don't. I'm too controlling and anxiety ridden to work with teams full of a variety of agents even though they are great agents.
At this moment -one of the accomplishments that brings a smile to my face is that I don't think I've ever lost to a USC coached team -- even when playing up a couple of tiers against Andes. Were definitely some of my favorite wins because I knew there would be crying after. Were also some of my scariest games as I knew I'd be hearing his crowing if I lost. That's what made the games fun and meaningful though -- and that wouldn't have existed without USC's big, opinionated board presence...so hats of to ya USC. Like GE - you annoy me and get under my skin sometimes --- but you're good for the game.

Rob's from Alaska, there's like what, 100 people in the whole state? He's probably on a first name basis with Sarah Palin.

He's good at merging, typically it's easier to win when you keep joining forces with your competition

Except that his main teams that merged were already #1 for the most part prior to the merge just like with PORN so his validity as a coach is pretty much unquestioned.

Typically it's easy to call what other people do as easy. It's also typical to try to poke holes in how somebody else does things when they continually beat you.

So what you're saying is:
Rob beats me
But I suck
Therefore beating me is easy
So Rob's just doing the easy thing
You know what's hard Rob? Losing to me. If you're man enough, I dare you to try and lose to me.

so much blah blah blah...lets be real, this isn't a complicated sim/game. If you are willing to put in the time to do film study and have some competency you can be really really good at this game. Most people at this point do not want to put in the time for film and that's okay because you can be a top 5 team annually in your tier with good builds and using the cheese plays.
