Nice speech.

Now let you give you a reality check. Here is GLB in a nutshell - GLB will give you rules and control and options, as long as you don't do too well - if you do we will change the rules to nerf your ass. We will do this until everyone wallows in mediocrity and loses interest. This is how we roll.

So you can all press for what you think you want. In the end it will mean squat because the end game is for everyone to suck equally. You whiners don't really want to win - you just don't want anyone else to either. Don't worry - CD has your back.

so this new D logic is to nerf your 21-9 team because they are doing too well?

The reality check is that no matter how much better he thinks balanced offenses got, passing offenses got better.

Yes, it's better if nothing ever changes and the same thing that's winning now continues winning forever.

That totally isn't boring.

I'm still upset you left the Whales Steve, I wanted you to keep telling me how I was fucking up

I dropped a few teams -- only because I kept getting scared I was going to sign a player to the wrong team...and you know --- I wasn't doing anything.

But ya - don't run GL. Like ever.

by the way - the outside rushing logic changes likely hurt balanced teams more than they hurt all running teams...I'm not sure what you guys are smoking.

LOL I stopped. I figured the Offtackles would be open that game, I was wrong

I've thought that and been wrong before too --- not room in GL for anyone but the pure running teams.

General Consensus is passing teams already use a bigger variety of plays than rushing teams

And there are more viable passing plays than running plays

I looked at this the other day. Looking in rookie and vet -- running teams were using dramatically more total variety of plays than passers. Something like generally 30-10 or something.

I disagree with your "general consensus" and remember past discussions where it was shown that running teams basically always run more different plays than passing teams do (top teams anyway)

There probably are more passing plays 'total' available - but many suck.

Running teams on the other hand have (as just one example) - 3 different strong side 2WR sweeps....several 2Wr dives. Several 3WR dives. etc

My "general consensus" doesn't mean I agree with it.

I already thought running teams had to run alot more different play anyway. Unless they only spam outside runs

Like I said, I don't think this diversity bonus will affect teams as much as people think it will. Theres only a set number of plays your offense gets a game and that is usually correlated to how well your defense plays and how good you are at getting first downs. If you pick bad plays just for the sake of getting that variety bonus then you are going to have a tough time getting first downs

Then there are teams like DC Politicians whose defense was awful and got alot of plays by virtue of quick scores by from the other team, resulting in shootouts. I loved those games

All this talk about rushing and passing reminded me about how both are great against Zone defenses.
