Your defensive players did well to get off some blocks. Makes a big difference.

You need to cut that S* OT and DT and replace them with regulars. Use the saved money to pump high contracts on your defense.

Those high contracts would be considerably more valuable than anything you're getting out the OT or DT. Go back and specifically look at the morale of your offense and defense relative to the morale of Minnesota's offense and defense at the beginning of the 3rd Quarter.

Those high contracts widespread across the roster are infinitely more valuable than any low tier superstars in the current "start and gravitate to 50 morale" sim. Probably more valuable than any defensive superstars at all period.

I strongly urge Ground Assault to dump their defensive superstars then.

GA is an experiment on defense. Needs to be seen through to Veteran.

No doubt high contracts are useful to counter the lack of heart on my defensive builds. But giving up the best OT in the game isn't going to happen for it, lol. Galithor, I know you aren't familiar with what it's like to have the best run o-line builds on your team, but peeti's superstar OT has 175 more pancakes than the next closest OT. To put that in perspective, TxSteve's top OT only has 226 pancakes total. I'll give you a trade secret. We move peeti's OT to where we're running each and every game. That dot is part of the reason why Queen City runs the ball as it does. It's not just superstar RBs and you're set.

And you're missing the ebb and flow dynamic that's produced there. The 3rd quarter wasn't because of something morale cumulative. The slip happened in the late 2nd when my defense was getting hit on big, long duration plays. My offense meanwhile was being punished by my own punishing offense (too many consecutive plays for guys like my FB running around on 1 or 2 energy). Those long duration plays are brutal no matter how you slice it. My offense was doing the exact same thing to the Stunners with the continual grind. Then the Stunners magically came out with a ton of players (offensive) at 100 morale at half time. I can't figure out how that one happened, besides they have more heart than what's healthy and lucked into that sim change lol. http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/162915/2568431

@TxSteve, having finally fully watched the game I was disappointed with what we got out of HB Off Tackle Weak against your 4-4 LB Dogs. Your LBs are just quick on the draw, really ties that from being a 6 yard gain on most teams to a 3 or 4. That's an edge gain through the builds, because tactically that's a hole on most teams. The short yardage stops you got on Off Tackle Weak with 4-4 LB Dogs were impressive. No complaints, though, we were competitive. I only expect that my teams can compete with anyone in GLB.

And stuff like this just isn't fair: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/162915/2568464

Ya -that was a nice run by Jimbo. Love seeing him squirt through a pile.

It is an imperfect comparison - but just looking at total morale on our final offense play of the 1st half (at TD) - we finished with 937 morale....then we started the 2nd half kick off with 1042 -- about a 10% bump in morale only which doesn't seem like that much.

Our LB's did well swarming. The nerfs a few seasons back that cause a reduction of quickness when breaking a tackle really diminished the inside running game in those situations (was probably needed really - but did make a big difference).

Except for pick 6's -- I think my favorite plays are those inside run stops on 3rd and short where somebody is able to slip through the line and make a stop.

What's scary is that was really only Minnesota's 2nd or 3rd 'close' (that word being subjective) game all season.

meh. Give me the Minnesota high contract defense over a S* OT anytime and every time in the current "start/gravitate to 50 morale" sim.
