I swear those first 2 post are what you messaged me when I joined helping me learn how to DC.

A lot has changed with playcalling since I made this. I need to go through and update the playcalling, particularly the run defense portion which is no longer viable.

With the changes to the run game, I might need some more time to figure things out though.

i dont think its that to far off really. maybe cover 3 buzz plays some.

As an OC I hate this thread...as an aspiring DC it will be invaluable.

Eh, the more people that know how to use defensive tactics, the better everyone will be. I hate thinking my offense is awesome, and then I go up against a good DC that calls plays when they want them...suddenly I'm shocked (and pissed) that my offense can't produce like it normally does.

Playing against more stable defensive playbooks/tactics in more games, means I won't be blindsided by a good DC that doesn't accidentally have random plays in inopportune situations.

I changed my mind. I am done DC'ing in this game, but if anyone has anything to add I can make changes to the original posts.

If was wondering about a defensive tactic equation. Which play would get called?

If I have this as my tactics....

Short 5%---------long 100%--------blitz 100%

ZEB short blitz
or
3-4 Sky Man Under

I am assuming 3-4 Sky Man Under 95% of the time due to the distance tag.

Yes, 3-4 Sky Man Under will get called around 95%. Blitz setting wouldn't be used in this scenario.

That's a shame, but I totally understand the desire to step back from the rigors of DCing. My rookie team is on default and I love it, just get to watch some rookie dots run around and do bizarre stuff.
