I made a GLB2 scouting tool a few seasons ago. Anyone is welcome to use it. Charging $100 is absurd.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B__B4dGZg5BOcGRqYmxNNDRFQjg/view?usp=sharing

EDIT: The scout is written in C# and will only run on windows. Extract the exe from the rar and run it. Go to File->Add Games then type in any amount of game ids. Each game will be loaded into the table and you can switch between teams using the drop down in the top left corner.

EDIT 2: Also my buddy Vir and his video game company Thrallsoft are going to be kickstartering their new game "Zombies Don't Pay Taxes" sometime next week. If any of you want to donate to that cause for the scout, here's the link. Enjoy and happy scouting.

The additional addons that I plan on adding are not going to be an all inclusive package with the scout tool. When I get a few tools in place I will have different levels of membership, where as what ever level I release today would be the premier level and any new levels would be lesser as they wouldn't include the scout tool.

So you're justifying a $15 (or even $10) price by saying additional features are coming but once those features are available you're going to jack the price up even more?

If its a huge game like a #1 vs #2 on ladder or a playoff game, maybe 15-30.

To each his own, my old school scouting technique usually consists or watching the past 3-5 games the opponent has played against decent teams and clicking next play repeatedly until I get an idea of their playbook.

For a big game I might do a little closer scouting, e.g. trying to notice patters on different down and distances.

This is about what I do as well, heh.

The work stobie did is awesome. I know I'd pay $5-10 a season for it. It's probably worth more but that's just what I find justifiable with how much I use it. It saves me time but I could easily just watch some film.

It's probably more logical for you to do season subscriptions but have to batted around the idea of having a set price gives you a number of scouting you can do.

Basically something like

$5 = 15 scouts
$10 = 35 scouts
$15 = 60 scouts

So anytime someone enters a team id in and pulls up scouting it counts as 1. They can do offense and defense for that 1 scout though. Once they leave the page that scout is up so if someone goes back later and enters that same team it will count toward your scout number again.

Obviously the purchased scouts roll over each season. This model would appeal to everyone I feel as some of the non power users could justify using a simple $5. This would also mean some members would probably purchase this more than once a season.

No what I am stating is that the price I introduce will be the cap and top level membership. Any tools added will automatically be available for those in this level. When a few tools are available, I will create another level at a lesser cost that has access to only the tools and not the scout area.

That way I keep the scout tool at a premium as it has the most value.

In all seriousness, Troy Big Beavers/Dancoin Millionaires, and Doge All Go have been using jamokeds scouting tool for several seasons, and while it isn't as pretty as stobies, it certainly gets the job done.

It still makes sense though, whoever takes more from the service, pays more. Although we could say it would be nice for a little more generosity in the money per scout conversion taking in consideration Dark_Fate's suggestion.

An user with 1 team plays around 16 matches a month. Charging $5 for 15 scouts would be, pretty much, like monthly subscriptions. Users like Rob, who use the tool more often, should definitely pay more, in his case it would be around $30 a month.

You didn't expect getting rich or making a living from this, right, Stobie?

I just threw in a suggestion I don't really know what the price per a scout should be. It was an example more or less and shows that when users spend more at once they get a better bang for there buck.

Pay per use is just bad. If it isn't a subscription I am definitely out.

It only takes ten minutes to assign all of my skill points, click matchup to see if the team I'm playing is run or pass heavy/100%, click on the right depth chart and D plan.

Maybe that's why I'm not very good at this game?
