Is that why CB's jump the LOS on the snap during run plays? Maybe a harder reaction check at the snap of the play for them? Or maybe make the reaction check harder the further away from the ball you are?

That doesn't fix the issue at all, that just makes short yard situations into free TDs.

How is removing GL formation from the PB outside of GL scenarios any different than it is now? with the exception that teams can't get away with running an all GL offense the entire game?

I don't mind the blocking, it's whatever, I'll work my way around whatever changes there are, but teams shouldn't be allowed to run a GL formation unless in a GL situation.

Because it's dumb to not react to where the ball carrier is going.

Why there isn't cutbacks is a whole other discussion. But yes, they don't happen enough.

Is there examples of that besides GL when the CB has nobody over them?

Most likely

Meaning they aren't covering someone or they run past whoever they're covering into the backfield?

idk I don't think it's that dumb, because in real life you really wouldn't know fully where they're going, you stay in your lanes like you're supposed to.

Bhall, made a good point earlier in the thread, they can just get rid of Goalline Formation for all I care. I've never liked it in either scrim.

I mean I am just assuming the formation he was working on will work a little like GL but with hopefully less hassle and can probably pass with it. I think that would be more interesting than going through the fiasco of nerfing and unnerfing everything for GL's sake.

Ya i think it is in the changes thread against Strong I. I will go look for it. CB jumps the line and blows right past the WR.

Meaning when the CB is actually over someone it generally looks more like this

Neither CB is "blitzing", and follow their guy until it obviously isn't a pass play.

CBs do have a faster reaction when the QB just immediately tucks and runs, though.

Happens a couple times in that game. That was the game he posted. I haven't really looked for it otherwise myself but doesn't even give the WR a change to engage.

Two things,

One, I'm planning on making WRs react better when there's nobody covering them and they are assigned a runoff.

Two, the FB reacts to the first person he sees, which is somehow behind him.

Now that I know defenders were buffed to run where HBs are supposed to, it actually clears some things up.

Was wondering why I never saw those outside runs that were fun to watch where the HBs speed pulls through and he's able to get to the corner.

Actually kind of makes sense why power backs got a little worse this year because of running style the defender definitely knows where you're going whereas an elusive back could change where a defender 'thought' he was going.

What does this mean exactly? And is it just for running plays?

If this means freeing up WRs to start blocking immediately on the snap instead of running forward a bit before freeing up to block, that's going to be a good change.
