Yeah, because trying to get a realistic sim shouldn't be what you strive for.

The fact that short passes (except for comebacks) never get players windows where they are open is a huge problem with the game. When you start running a streak route and then make a small move to the sideline and then a huge move to the middle of the field, you are probably going to have a brief window where the QB will be able to find you open.

Isn't that why we have the Route Technique, Route Elusive, and Coverage Tech skills? To determine whether the defender gets shaken, leaving the WR briefly open for a timing route?

Sadly, because secondary coverage is even worse than the passing game, the WR is always open by default, no skills needed - even with two guys on him. Even if he did get open with nobody within a few yards of him he'd drop the wide open pass anyway.

The good passing sophmore teams. I used exclusively 2 back forms on the test server and tuned people up left and right.
