Evileyez tried explaining this to you before I did, so it's obvious that you're simply not going to understand. When there are many possibilities, it's stupid to try and guess individual outcomes instead of try to cover a broader range of those outcomes. You brought up real football, but in real football you can't completely change your offense in a few hours. Honestly, how long have you been DCing? If it hasn't been that long then your attitude would make more sense because you wouldn't know what WL DCing was like before the expanded playbook and DPC gimp.

Ugh. The opposite is true. The more possibilities there are, the less you should be guessing at any one particular outcome.

I'd say that the majority of DC's in WL don't currently gameplan

But all teams have strategies and tendencies. You can take a guess on defense but within limits.

Lead Passing did a lot to make teams pay for guessing cuz now you will get beat with an 80 yard bomb if your CB can't hold up. But once teams start playing all deep zone stuff that should open up some underneath routes plus the deep zone stuff has trouble reading runs quickly. You still have many decisions to make when designing a defense.

Asau didn't try to guess in the playoffs last season, it just spammed HCreek's blitz.

from outsiders view, it probably looked that simple

our defensive front was basically the same but coverages behind it were different game to game

very true...which is why the game is becoming boring. most WL DCs use their one vanilla AI and are too lazy to game plan

or the game has become boring so users have reduced the time spent gameplanning?

probably undermines some of my points here ... but there is very little reason/necessity to gameplan in the reg season. unless you want to manipulate playoff seeding. the art is in doing just enough to get by w/o showing all your cards. though maybe that is a gameplan in of itself

I mean, i used to spend ours a day just recruiting and now i struggle to set up a roster with network dots just sitting there for me to choose from. I still enjoy the game don't get me wrong but it's just not the same. I'm sure changes could be made to make the game better but it may have just run it's course for some of us?

its been 4 years. not sure this should be shocking, which i know you know. p much describes me, though if i ever win it will be very challenging to continue doing anything. my only investment really in this is time, and i have an office job so even that isn't such a big deal.
