Come on guys. 5 pages arguing about who's the better DE? There is no chance that a DE gets voted MVP, so that is a moot point in this thread. Go start a thread about who the best DE in the league is.

Ive already thrown my vote behidn Eli Spiderpig and stated that a DE shouldnt be MVP so I agree. I just dont like that he is discounting EVERY other DE there is

Look, all this arguing over which DE is better is kinda pointless. For all intents and purposes, they are in different leagues. It's like baseball in that the National and AMerican leagues are completely separate, excpept for a few interleague games. And each league names its own MVP, doesn't it?

i know theres only 1 mvp for the nfl. but either way we would have problems with who ever were to be voted the mvp because someones always gonna think their guy is better. or its always gonna be against different competition.

Now I don't like to brag but to say CG Smith played inferior talent is not accurate. Here is a list of the top five teams that have allowed sacks and all but one are in the Eastern Conference:

Team Sacks Allowed
Buffalo Stampede 71
Middle Tennessee Fightin' Catfish 47
Kansas Twisters 45
D.C. Corruption 30
Dallas Texans 23

yea but that could either be we have better DE or worse O Lines.. you cant really use stats when comparing the 2 conferences.

The only thing I use to gauge the conferences is the number of rebuilding teams, and I believe there were 4-5, it's hard to get a good idea, since there is only one game day where we mix and then of course the final game. I took all of CG's stats into account when I chose him, He had a great year against some good teams, Eli did as well, the only thing I wonder is had gun show stayed would Eli have even been any kind of factor? On the other end, Without that multi purpose end could austin have gone undefeated without him? MVP to me is the player that I dont think a team could live without, not necessarily the best stats though often they go hand in hand.

Very impressive numbers. I see he's a free agent at the end of the year. Will he be looking for a new home?
