until not caring = no championships or demotion, then not so fun imo.

but yes... not caring and winning Gold is definitely the funnest if this even exists

Hali, Valhalla, Blaze, all known for 0 cares when it came to gameplanning.

Maybe it's not AS relevant as it used to be, but builds + good VA stacks + a good auto-adjusting AI > gameplanning

dpride gameplaned for blaze, you know he did because he was in the forums bragging about it, he picked a few plays and spammed them to death on every opp

lolno.

Do you not remember the radio lulz w/ me posting Lincoln's scouting on the Blaze with their lolconsistencies? dpride lived on blln's AIs until they were outdated.

I'll also throw the idea that once you've had some success than winning just isn't as exciting anymore. I'm not talking about WL gold here. I'm talking racking up 12+ WL wins a few times and just being involved in a few deep WL playoff runs.

Outdoing your prior acheivements get old. So when some of these teams expect to win a ton of games and have a shot of the title.... When you actually do win a bunch of games and make a solid playoff run.... Then it's not as exciting....

So basically... There is always more care when you first start having success. I knew that before our WL playoff run was over. I knew that at some point we would lose and it would be a big failure. So it was expected. The good news is that it's been a few seasons and the longer it gets from past success, we will grow hungrier and hungrier.

If you don't understand all that it's because you haven't been there before. Understandable.

this is just retarded. When these teams needed to game plan they did. And they all cared, probably more than anyone realizes. Like I said earlier this season. It's the cool thing to say you don't care, but everyone up here does, at least some.

Obviously when I say 0 cares I don't literally mean absolutely 0 cares. The AIs get tweaked to position ourselves for the season. The recruiting and SP/VA work gets done.

I'm just trying to discredit the need to hXc gameplan, even in the playoffs.

Lincoln has 3 WL .gifs. Not the elusive gold, but we more gifs than most.

halis gameplanning consisted of deciding what % of screens to run. that napkin jpg isn't that far off. yeah we did gameplan for the last couple games each season, but we're talking a couple of minutes.
by the end of it (3rd ship) alloy really was barely gameplanning at all. he was just picking 5 plays and running them all game.
no clue about blaze.

Gameplanning was certainly a big part of HHWCs run. And I know from talking with all of our opponents during that time that heavy work was done on both sides. It was a fun time for us and me as a DC. It felt like a true chess game and we discussed the results afterwards. At this point we (old dogs) wer. All scratching and clawing for the title and there is no doubt in my mind about that.

Now Im sure the newer teams are going through the same thing and Im happy for them. It was a ton of fun. Just act like you've been there before unless you're going for one of those Internet schticks like dpride, kai, and hood.

Valhalla was in a league of their own for a couple seasons. Only the Blaze had a chance against them and I'm pretty sure alloy put time in for those games, but otherwise he didn't have to. Like I said, these teams game planned when they needed to. Just turns out they didn't need to a lot.

It's funny when people care enough to argue about how little they care.

I'm unfortunately more on the downslope than the upslope personally. Thank goodness for Canton our DC still has the drive. I wish I did, but my 2011 in real life has been about as shitty as possible and my motivation for this game is at an all time low.

Regarding the post about "who would play for a 0 cares veteran team"..... It's simple.

First off. It's obviously not literally 0 cares. It's just less cares than a team that is super serious and hungry to show their unproven team can make it in the WL.

You know what you're getting from a longtime WL power. You go into every game knowing you have a shot to win. You get to play wth agents who obviously know their shit or else they wouldn't have done what they've done. You know that the other dots on the field with you are also top notch. You know that each and every season there is a chance to win the biggest trophy in the game.

To me it seems like that is enough to choose them over a team that tries super duper hard during the regular season.

There is also much more to it as I'm sure you know.
