Yeah but you're a rarity in the USA.
NBC was showing taped freestyle skiing in which no American medalled, from 4 hours ago, instead of the Canada/USA hockey game, Ice Dancing original dance or 4man Bobsleigh final heats.
Great call, networking execs!

Ice Dancing was actually showing at the time fyi :fistshake:
Actually Czech/Russia delayed game was showing at the start of USA/Canada which switched into Ice Dancing I think. And yeah, fuck NBC, but I heard ice dancing got a 17 in the ratings as opposed to USA/Canada's 8.2 =/
It's the women in this country I tell ya. They're ruining everything :fistshake:

I do watch hockey, just in small clumps, I'll watch two or three games one week and then not watch another for like a month. It just doesn't peak my interest for long. Just not the game for me. Whenever the main focus point as to why the game is awesome is "You can fight!111!!!", you know people are reaching.

I'm curious, have you been to a game? I don't think I've asked you before

It's hard to blame NBC because historically, hockey ratings in the US have been absolutely horrible. It's really a niche sport here. iI's huge in Minny and the NE, with a decent following among the great lakes and Colorado, but really, that's about it. Everywhere else, it's merely an afterthought. Obviously, those of us that really care about hockey were upset.
On MSNBC, the game's rating beat out game 7 of '09 stanley cup, and it seems they've gotten the message by announcing that the US's quarterfinal game would be live on NBC.
